    Hi
I am a football collector and I am intersted in the Swiss Super league. As I understood most of the games will be broadcasted on Teleclub channels which are recieved only inside Switzerland. Does someone have those channels? I am looking for someone who could record for me every week the games during the whole season, of course that I will pay for each game that will be recored..
Please let me know if someone can help me with this issue...

    Thanks

well, Superleague starts and GC looks like starting with Feltscher in right defense. Now, they have also Bobadilla out with a light injury. And if St.Gallen plays like against Chisinau, then this is going to be a 0-0:D

    Re: Superleague 07/08

GC needs a right defender and a striker yet
Basel evtl. could need an additional central defender
    YB look very offensive minded

for the bottom for they all could need a central defender yet, especially Aarau and Thun (Guldan from Slovakia is tested) a central defender. But that's also the position were Lucerne and Xamax look weakest

    Re: Superleague 07/08

I think Koubsky is one of their most important players so when he's back from injury he'll kick Zellweger out of central defense. Also, new Brazilian Fernando might be ahead of Kül for Fringer. Interesting to see what happens when Callá returns.

I think Mesbah will be a starter

I think Iashvili will definetly start

    Re: Superleague 07/08

Does GC really need a right defender? How long is Sutter out? Voser can play there and also Feltscher, right? A striker, absolutely. And maybe also a left defender, since Jaggy left isn't Mikari all they have in that position?

You're right, the bottom four are desperatly lacking quality central defenders.

    Re: Superleague 07/08

Sutter is out something like 6 months, then Voser is injured as well
    Feltscher is 16years old
Mikari made a very good impression in left defense in the test matches

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could post a link to a preview of this match (expected starting lineups, etc.) if one finds it on the web.

    Many thanks

there not many websites where you can find the probable starting lineups for the swiss matches and usually only a few hours before the matches. I don't know any site where a probable lineup for tonights GC-St.Gallen is published. I would try at www.20min.ch in a few hours. They usually have a preview of the matches. Otherwise some five minutes before the matches you have the official lineups on the football.ch site. They also have a preview of the matches the day itself, but without giving the lineups. But at least they tell you who is injured or suspended.

    The season has officially started:

    GC - St.Gallen 2:0 (1:0)

FCSG's two-decade winless streak at the Hardturm continues... :D

Wow, 6800 spectators! Ok, I guess St Gallen stood for half of the audience. That leaves 3400 GC-fans, still good ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing the highlights - it seems from the articles I've read that GCZ was generally in control of the match.

Quick question for my Swiss football friends. What do the abbreviations mean on the statistics pages of hattrick.ch? (say for example on this team page table at http://www.hattrick.ch/nla_statistik.cfm?saison=2007/08&order=t_rk&verein=10)

I know what Min, Tor and Ass refer to, but I'm not too sure about the others.

Any assistance would be big-time appreciated.

Today was a double loss for St. Gallen as last season's 2nd leading goal scorer, Alex Tachie-Mensah, suffered a broken ankle at the end of normal time in the second half. He collided with GC defender Smiljanic and as he went to the ground, his studs got caught in the turf. It was quite a nasty-looking injury. Smiljanic clearly obstructed and fouled him to prevent his getting past, but it wasn't a dangerous tackle or anything.

This will likely be a really big blow to St. Gallen, as Alex and Aguirre both had double digit goals last season; nobody else on the team had more than 3. And Alex had 3-4 pretty good chances in this match that he just missed putting away.

Great 1st goal by Renggli on the volley - an early candidate for goal of the season. And Razzetti made several pretty good saves to keep St. Gallen in it.

Can you believe St Gallen's luck?
Last year it was Callá in the 2nd game of the season, now Alex in the first. Well, they have to go out and get a new striker. Derdiyok?

Alex is out till the end of the year! What a blow for St.Gallen

Derdyiok would be an alternative. However, I don't know if Basel want him at a rival club. Maybe after their match against each other in round 2
