So, does anyone have any word regarding our Copa America doodz? Will they be back to play on Saturday's game? Of course, I don't think many people will mind if Burpo covers another game. My prediction is 2-1 Chivas.

    Lets go Chivas!

They are all back and rested now. Columbus has been hot as of late but Chivas has NOT lost at home all season. 3-1 Chivas

I can't imagine that Bornstein and Kljestan will be on the bench. Guzan v. Burpo? Not sure on that one.

It will be nice to have the full team again.
In regards to the Burpo and Guzano...

Guzano will be starting, He is the Man and Burpo is our luxury!

    Chivas wins!

i've been looking forward to this game. i really admire guille schellotto and the crew have been playing good soccer lately.

we've had time to regroup and recharge and so long as galindo can turn it on a little bit tomorrow i'm seeing a 3-1 victory.

also recruited like 8 family and friends to come with.

I'll stick with a 1:0 victory. Our defense and mid will be bolstered by our returning nats, but I doubt that Razov is out of the worst of his slump. Once again our boy Galindo will come through.

As for a meetup I'm down with whatever you guys want to do.

I'll be at the HDC tonight I'm looking forward to seeing all the Copa America guys back in uniform, The Crew have been playing good they are missing 3 players form the U-20 World Cup (The Crew have a good group of young talent). But I think the CHivas will win 2-0, hopefully Razov will be back in form and get a goal tonight, Chivas really need him to get back to the way he was playing last season.

Fuck, right when I was going to pay for my tickets online they became "unavailable". I was told that the $18 tickets on ticketmaster (sect 112) cost $75 at the box office!

Anyone know the prices for the other sections? It would be appreciated if one of you could list them.

    Thanks.

    Chivas Win 2:1!

Its nice to see our team finally intact. Ante Razov finally gets on the board and El Guzano puts on a clinic. Its a nice send off before the extended road trip. Good job boys!!!

Obvio que lo lleve.. Estaba al lado contraro de la barra de Chivas USA. En el primer tiempo le grite "Guillermo!" y saludo.. Luego miro para mi lado y vio las camisetas de River, la bandera, y los insultos y se queria matar.. Jaja.. Priceless.

Just an observation from the pics... and being to a few ChivasUSA games myself. Why do so many in the crowd have Chivas de G jerseys and banners. It looks foolish... why don't they buy Chivas USA jerseys... afterall Chivas de G plays in Mexico... not the HDC.

For myself I wear my Chivas USA jersey when I go to the games, but I will say most of the fans are wearing Guadalajara jerseys. But when Iwent to the Chivas USA/Revs game; Chivas de Guadalajara/Barcelona game last season I wore my Guadalajara jersey. I just wish the front office would market this team more. It's sad to see how small the crowds are, it's a good team, with lower ticket prices than the Galaxy.

    exactly. Well thought out post.

I truly believe the marketing of this team is terrible. Are we a mexican made up team that sucks? (year 1)... are we an integrated team that's pretty good? (year 2)... are we an integrated and good team that can compete for a league title, but can't market ourselves at all? (year 3).

I am a Galaxy fan, but in no way am I a Chivas basher. I want both teams to succeed. It's a great rivalry and good for the teams and league... but I watched that game on tv last night, and the attendance was just sad.

To all you mexican Chivas fans out there (hellooooo)... Chivas USA is not a cheap knockoff of Chivas de G... it is a totally DIFFERENT product (and a good product). Support it. Don't wear your Chivas de G jersey to the games and wave your Chivas de G flags... that team is not playing on the field you are watching. You are doing nothing support the actual product on the field by wearing the wrong gear.

Sometimes it comes down to simple ecomonics. either they already have a Chivas Guad jersey and its the same colors so they can show support by wearing the colors without paying 65 to do so. In other cases why pay 65 for aChivasUSA jersey when you cah get a knockoff Chivas Guad jersey for 20 at the swapmeet?

I agree there needs to be better marketing and I hope they are working towards that. If the team keeps winning and show well in the playoffs and wins the Open Cup, coupled with tix being alot cheaper the the Galaxy people will eventually show up. Don't balme just the marketing Dept. Teh media relations teams need to get the players "out there" more as well. They need to get more media to the games. They need to become poractive NOT reactive.

Ina ddition to that there were some of the British media at the game last night as well. A couple I talked to were quite impressed with the style we play and the Legion. I am sure we are getting a lil press abroad today. We need to build on that

Being a Cruz Azul fan, I have the home jersey, the away jersey and the long sleeve blue jersey, in the -very doubtful- event that they were to bring a "Cruz Azul USA" team, do you think that I'll buy a new jersey...

Although I bought the Chivas USA jerseys for my kids, Adidas quality is way better than the 20.00 dlls. stuff they sell at the swap meet.
