Not that I'm totally siding with FCmagic here, but no one really stood out or noticably outshined anyone in the Uruguay match. In a game with 58 (?) fouls, and at least half as many more that went criminally uncalled there wasn't much opportunity for any skilled player to show their worth. The Brazil game was much more open and conducive to the display of offensive skill and talent.

He was one of the best players against Uruguay... and Jozy outshone Pato so I guess he is worth more than how ever million euros they are talking about. And Wallace was better than Marcelo so I guess Real Madrid made the wrong decision.

"Well it's normal for a kid at his age to be inconsistent and it always depends on the team and the atmosphere surrounding the team"

"Plus parma know how to deal with talents and how to bring them to the next level. "

thank you, hopefully more knowledgable posters like yourself come to big soccer

That's the 'Crociati' shirt-- "Crusaders," or "Guys With Crosses on Their Shirts." Next year we should see more of the 'Gialloblu' "Yellow-Blue" horizontal stripes shirt, with which we've won 2 UEFA Cups, a European Supercup, and 3 more Italian Cups.

I don't know how I would feel about Adu in Italy, but Parma would be one of the better choices imo.

That guy directly to the right of Cannavaro looks like Bruce (Bruno) Arena's long lost son.

    It's Chad Vader's.

Freddy to Parma I like. Italy would be a great place for him to continue to learn the game and I'm quite confident the coaching would be significantly better than RSL.

You got it, bud. Few people realize that George Lucas based the whole double trilogy on Cannavaro's conquest of world soccer.

Better than watching him suck while getting the crap kicked out of him in Scotland or England.....

(Note: I am an EPL watcher, I think its the best league, but not for Adu.)

I agree. He would be a better fit in Series A than the Scottish Premier League. SPL is not very good for flashy, technical players like Adu.

Plus, we'll never be able to see him play  At least with Parma, we can watch him on FSC when they show their Series A repertoire of Cagliari, Udinese, and Torino. :D

As someone else mentioned, FSC bought the full rights to serie A so their coverage will be pretty equal to what their premiership coverage is like. I don't really follow serie A but I definitely would root for Parma if Adu went there.

Cristiano Lucarelli just signed with Shakhter Donetsk for $11M over 3 years.

    Probably tax-free too.

Adjust this for the cost of living (about 25% of what it is in the West) and he'll probably octupled his PPP income vs. his last gig at Livorno.

for kick and run soccer is surely is. For skillful play, it is the bottom of the big leagues.

With the second to last syllable emphasized in polska, DAH-veed YAHN-chick is very much a Slavic European. That said, the polak will be paid on par with many players for CSKA and other Russian teams. Due to the high cost of living safely and well in Moscow and St. Petersburg and the relative unattractiveness compared to many European locations, the major Russian teams often pay more than top Euro clubs. The kid is very good.

What a foolish comment. As if he were never a Ghanaian immigrant or that his learning to play the game in Ghana never contributed to his development or being discovered in a schoolyard.

In regards to the American guy from (insert other country) maybe if Altidore goes they'll say he plays for the New Amsterdam Red Bulls.

I'd love to see Adu go to Parma.

Might be even better than the two teaming up if Adu (American) replaces Rossi (The Traitor)

your ignorance and inferiority complex are crippling your brain. he is Ghanian born. the journalists can mention it anytime they feel like it. and I assure you that they do have toilet paper in Ghana. where do you think all the litter in your skull is from?

He came here when he was eight, so I don't think he "learned" how to play in Ghana. I don't hink you can teach what he's got anyway.

He was running around Ghana kicking rolled up socks tapped into a ball just like they do in Brazil and probably had more touches before he came to the US then the avg BS poster has had in their whole life. So yes imo he was influenced by his upbringing in Ghana.
