That was one of the most fun games I've seen in a long, long time.

Too bad we were on the losing end - had we not been so lax in the first half things might have gone differently, but then again, who knows.

We gave too many easy turnovers in the first half, including the one that led to the goal. Also, Leandro Lima needs to stop trying to play every other ball de letra or in some other fancy way.

Jô is an amazing forward. We need him on the full team. Now.

Renato Augusto was the worst playe on the field imo. He nothing like Kaka or Rivaldo.

Its a shame a team this talented strugling so much....maybe the reporters (globo etc) are right, and we lack the coaching.

Renato Augusto is an excelent player, but he needs to be in a team environment, once players start getting too individualistic his game suffers....he needs those one, two touches, with the ball moving fast laterally to find the holes in the defense.

great game, Brazil a bit better team but some very good individuals on the US team, who kept the US in this game... all from MLS of course, so you should look at it the other way...

    I was at this game.
Disappointing result but entertaining none the less.
Brasil were clearly the better side and they're very entertaining. Couldn't put the ball in the net with 5 very good chances. Horrible mistake on the first U.S. goal; that's the way it goes.

Pato and Jo are amazing players. Freddy Adu is pretty good himself.

Eliminated? Or did Brasil qualify as a 3rd group seed?

It depends on other results but it is very likely that Brazil qualify. Several upsets would be necessary to prevent that.

    No reason to be ashamed.

Adu is a very good talent. Even Brasilians have to acknowledge it.

As for Altidore, he seems like a good young prospect but what he did against us is nothing to be ashamed of, there are lots of players that could score the goals he did.

Correct - Brazil is in as one of the 4 third-place teams since Costa Rica has fewer goals (same points and same goal difference).

I don't have a chance to watch brazil U-20 since no coverage of the tournament here. I'm just puzzled how on earth brazil u-20 is struggling in this tournament? This team is pack with talents (Pato, Jo, Marcello, R.Augusto, etc.) and should have easily pass the group stage and of course win this tournament. Is it because they need time to re-organize after the lost of Lucas in the last minute? Or because Anderson is not in the squad? (but he didn't play during the qualifying). Why Denilson (Arsenal) wasn't included in the squad? Are they any other players that should be included in this squad?

    The midfield is horrible.
You can tell our 3 best midfielders are not playing
    Denilson
    Lucas
    Anderson

The defense minus a few players has been below average also.

and Cassio has been average. Has not made 1 nice save.

I just saw the game on tape. Just plane shamefull performance in the whole tournament. I really don't see how this could be considered entertaining from Brazil's point of view. Since when do we qualify as the 3rd best team ? Rather they had lost by a higher margin and gone home directly then continue with this garbage.

dunga definitely made a mistake by calling up anderson because the U20 team really couldve used him. i still dont know why denilson wasnt called up. i had heard that arsenal were against it, but i dont know.

and as ive said before, this team is a carbon copy of our WC06 team. very similar tactics and issues. it's very frustrating.

    Well,

You should have watched them playing on the south american u-20, it was painful there was well (and they won) The last wc we had a team that was a clear favorite from the time they left Brasil, this one? Everyone knew the team wasn't that good.

Whats the exact positioning of the Brazilie u20 team?
The defence and attack are pretty clear to me but the midfield i cant get straight. Is it like this?

    ------------------------------Cassio----------------------------

    Amaral---------------Luizao------------Edson------------Marcelo

    -----Leandro Lima------Ji Paranha------Roberto-------Renate Augusto

    -----------------------Alex Pato-----Jo-------------------------

And i'm talking about the game againt US, to be exact.
