I like the name "Sacred Flock", but you make a good point about Chivas de Guad.

How 'bout The Red & White Stripes? ;) Ok, that name might kinda suck, but I definitely would love to adopt "Seven Nation Army" as our song.

I like "Scared flock" only because it keeps the nickname and it sets it apart from Chivas de Guad at the same time. It's no big deal, just an idea. I'm down for whatever.

Think about this, however, what if Chivas de Guad plays Chivas USA, I know who I'll be suppporting. SACRED FLOCK vs. El Rebano Sagrado.

Yeah, you guys might be right. There's probably something cooler out there.

The Empire? Isn't it the mission of the Empire to rule the Galaxy? (Star Wars reference)

    Go CUSA!

There used to be a banner a long time ago in Guad. that read... IMPERIO ROJIBLANO "Red & White Empire". It just popped into my head. Nice Star Wars refernce.

I think that LARS has a song the Seven Nation Army song as their "song". I always see references to it on their boards.

    I guess I didn't know that b/c I've never actually heard them singing. ;)

Well, that kinda sucks, but it's already Juve's and the Azzuri's anthem anyway. I just thought it fit in nicely w/ the "red & white stripes" idea.

Let's keep the ideas flowing here.

I kind of like the idea of singing "El Rey" by Jose Alfredo Jimenez at the enf of the games. I know we're a English/Bilingual group but everybody knows that song and it would keep the crowd intereseted.

Think, "....pero sigo siendo el rey!" (but i'm still the king!)

Sorry, just thinking out loud. There's too many cool songs yo just consider a few.

What other names do you guys like for this proposed new group?

    a few thoughts

If you're going to be opposite the Legion, you're in the SOUTH end zone. Norther anything will just confuse. I think a name completely sepearte fron the Legion and Chivas Guad is a good idea. A more "white" name, no offense but you want to help draw fans in and going with a Mexi theme won't help that and the Legion has that taken care of.

If its going to happen it NEEDS to happen soon. You'll waant ot relocate to the same section, Assuming some of you are season ticket holders, you'll want to recruit and of course open a dialogue with the FO. I can help with making the right contact with the FO, now is a good time as they just moved some people around.

The other thing is KEEP IT SIMPLE !! minimal rulles just a casual fun place to hang out and enjoy the game and some frineds. When they get too political they suck.

let me know if I can help.

All good ideas. I'd love to meet up at the next home game (July 14) and hang out, brainstorm, etc, but I've got a prior engagement (don't let that discourage others, however).

I'd love to get in touch w/ the FO about a new fan group, as I'm sure it'd be something they'd be very interested in helping cultivate.

And I think it's pretty important to have an English name for the group, for the reasons pointed out above. Don't get me wrong, I love practicing mi Espanol, but I think we're trying to reach out to other demographics b/c the Legion has the Spanish-speakers covered.

Not sure if it's possible, but if we can nail down a name by 7/14 perhaps we can get some "guerilla marketing" going at the next home game. Maybe toss around some flyers, or post a few around the HDC wherever we can get away with it. Maybe even a quick banner that might catch some eyes. Picture this... (insert name here) We are coming! Or something like that.

I'm in as long as the name is strong. No candystripers or peppermint sticks better even be suggested. But I do like the idea of getting a color involved.... red stands tall all over the world. I'm probably stealing these from other clubs - Red Army, Red Zone, Red Brigade, Red Order... or is there any interest in going ULTRA? Is there room in the world for another RED ULTRA group? USA ULTRA's?

I'm all for the "Red" idea but we should avoid using the term Ultra. The Galaxy used to have a fan club called the Ultras.

Sup doodz, I really like the idea! I agree with everyone on having our own identity, English name, respectfully collaboration with The Legion and FO. I personally like "The Empire" or "The Red Empire". Maybe a better suited name will just pop up after a few gatherings. :)

I'm not so sure about the Empire name. I think there is already a NJ/NJ red balls supporter group named something to that sort.

Dude, is the "gay" line best that you can come up with? or is it the only thing that you've got? It seems like your answer for everything involves a "gay" insult.

Please try to actually bring something to the table.

Well no Legion Nortena because that's the name of the Legion faction in the Bay Area.

No Battallon because thats the name of the Houston Dynamo supporters.

Arguably Patrick Swayze's finest work. ;)

Glyco and I kicked around the idea of The Red Scare, which I kinda like.
