playing really boring, the commentators made an interesting comment how it looks like we have adapted the catenaccio style of play, good thing the crowd booed the minute where they were doing nothing but passing between the defenders

yeah for a change i'm noticing vagner on the pitch but still not doing enough to make up for the previous 2 games. baptista is killing us he's a big goof...he's got a lead foot or something, those touches are too heavy. gilberto is playing great thus far...doni...oh jeez...he doesn't look fat but he sure runs like one! how slow was he getting off that line?! at least the last minute was played quite well, hope they can bring that into the second half..who do you guys suggest be brought in after the break?

i would say Diego or Andershow but Ombak is right, those two are to fragile for Ecuador's physical play

I guess Diego will show up or Anderson to get the beast Baptista out.......Vagner Love will never be substituted out ever in this whole tournament, he will start every match, Afonso should be given some time to play.........

Yes. Apparently Copa America does not care about matching up teams from the same group - the pairings are A1 vs. 2nd best 3rd and B2 vs. best 3rd. According to the commentator there is no change even if this forces a match-up of teams from the same group.

Afonso has a better chance of finishing and scoring a goal than Vagner Love, Chile vs Brazil, well I know were heading to the semis.

Not if we play as poorly as we did last time.

That game could have easily been a tie or worse.

if Maicon isnt, who will Dunga play at LB, Alex Silva showed with the little time he played, is not comfortable in that position

There is no other player for the right back position, if maicon is not available he has to play with alex silva or one of the volantes. Maybe he could try Baptista in that role. About the game, end of first half looked promising, but Love just misses too many chances to continue on. That one on one with the golie with a really weak shot was very frustrating. We have yet to see what afonso can do in this tournament. On the positive side I did like how josue played in Elanos place. Kleber on the other hand was very shaky as was Baptista. But you cant really blame Baptista since Dunga gave him the role of a number 10 which is just plane ridiculous.

vagner may have missed a lot of chances, but he was still the best player on the pitch. he did a lot. he had some great passes and missed some easy chances. im still fine with him starting, especially if he can at least find a finishing touch.

Robinho remains the bright spot for this team. This was a very ugly game to say the least. Brazil is suffering overall - they never been in this kind of bad stretch before and funny thing it's not just occuring with the first team.

Brazil played poorly because Dunga is too defensive using three defensive midfielders (g.silva, mineiro, josue). He needs to put more creative players like anderson n diego out there. I guess anderson is not 100% fit that's why we didn't start today. Too bad dani alves will miss next game, with maicon still injured, not too sure who will be the replacement. I would love to see this line-up in the q.final:

    ----- Doni / Helton ------
    ??? ---- Naldo -- Juan --- Gilberto
    ------G.Silva ---- Josue / Elano ----
    -Anderson --- Diego ----- Robinho
    -----------Afonso ----------
