robinho is going to have to carry this team if they want to do well. No one else really offers anything to the attack atm.

indeed not a very convincing win for me. but a win is a win to say the least. hardly to no team effort, pure individual effort from who else robinho. and what happened w/anderson? some said the game 'changed' when he was subbed on against mexico, yet when he started today, pretty much invisible to me. and seriously..lets have alex warming the bench for once, start naldo sheesh.

What happened to Diego, he never came on, I was expecting him. They gave Vagner Love 2 straight, full games, and he never did anything productive, but they give Diego half a game, thats it....that sucks......and Daniel Alves played good, he should start instead of Maicon from now on, Afonso shouldve also came on, Vagner Love will NEVER score a goal, never.

i'll ONLY credit love for that assist, THAT'S IT. other than that, i agree he won't be productive at all nor will he score a goal all tournament. put alves up front let's see what he can do. i don't know if that's his natural position but love has been given enough chances and proved he doesn't have what it takes to be wearing those colors...

What are you guys talking about ? This game was worse than the Mexico game. It's like watching a bunch of amateurs play. Horrible game. Made me want to change nationality.

Nobody knows what Dunga is thinking, i didn't see any major play improvement in today's match as oposed to mexico's with the exception of robinhos efforts. Today was a lucky game for Dunga because it is clear he still doesn't know what to do. Love gave one assist but that was it. I don't see how that justifies him as a titular absoluto in Dungas eyes. The midfield continues to be the worst sector , Anderson and Elano were invisible. Anderson just walking for most of the game. I was also expecting diego and afonso. Batista came on and added more movement to the sector but his passing is still irregular. Daniel Alves after robinho was one of our better players. Im glad for the victory but the team still needs to improve dramatically if we are to face argentina at any point.

anderson was good early on in the game but then disappeared. i guess he still has to work out some kinks. im not so sure if he will start the next game.

and i agree that naldo should come on. alex was a liability at times today. he was pretty mediocre in the last game too.

Todays win was only Robinho's efforts, same as it was the Mexico game. Nothing but Robinho carrying the team......looks like this will continue through the whole tournament, Brazil needs to learn how to work together, they cant expect Robinho to do everything.......If you try Vagner Love for a second consecutive game, why not Diego, they should try the Diego Robinho connection again....it would help Brazil alot, I felt Baptista didnt do anything good or bad, so in that case, they should give Diego another try, for the next game against Ecuador.

And for todays Vagner Love assist, I bet Dunga will start him again next game, it really sucks......Everybody knows Afonso is better than V. Love, but Dunga LOOOVes him so much, that he gives him alot of playing time, when was the last time he got subbed out, even if he plays bad for a first half he still gets the rest of the full game without being subbed out.....I dont understand that.

wasnt impressed at all and we will get knocked out by whoever we face in the next round(if we get there), hopefully not the Argie bargies, its like WC2006 all over again, mediocore performance from our midfield, lack of cohesion among the playermaker and midfield and a striker that doesnt do much for us and we are all screaming for him to warm the bench, i swear this team is almost making 2001 look good

This is one of the worse performances i have ever witness from Brasil.
it felt like worse than 1990 ,it only needed Lazaroni to be there instead of Dunga.

Although there is some fault on Dunga's part for our piss poor performances, not everything can be blamed on him. The players look retarded on the field. They are missing the most simple plays.

I saw ZERO improvement today. And to make it worse, the players really think we are improving. They should go see the tape of the game.

Robinho was OK overall ... but still not great. But you can't blame his as much because he has to do most of it by himself. Daniel Alves played good too. The rest was utter CRAP.

another thing to keep in mind was the poor pitch condition. it apparently had rained a lot during the night and before the game. i am sure that played some role in the horrible ball work. of course, you would think the team would have adapted as the game went on, so i dunno.

Dingbat wore a bright neon shirt and Brazil did play neon at least late in the 2nd half!! :D And I see he gave Doni the gloves again glad he didn't f-ck that up, though he did crack me up when he couldn't tie that knot of string to fix that torn roof net!! :D

Vaaagner Looove!!(I was laughing everytime the announcer said it) Well he didn't score but he did get the pk and set up Robinho's 2nd goal!! Baptista and Josue didn't set the team on fire in the 2nd half, but Juan was awesome in defence as he saved a certain Chile goal!!

Robinho was great today with the hat trick and I hope he uses this tourney to improve his finishing cause with his speed and cunning, plus if he added some more muscle he could be a top striker!!

Happy that Mexico beat Altitude jr 2-1 which sets up some 4th of July fireworks v Ecuador on wed!! Cause even with 2 losses they still have a chance to sneak in as a wild card that's why we have to go in for the kill wednesday!!

what i saw from brazil was mostly poor added in with some individual brilliance from Robinho, who knows maybe this could be robinho's tournament? and the team could play around him if maintains his form

defensively brazil do look good, that you cant deny, maybe alex has his moments but overall they do look actually like a solid unit.....i think baptista looked like he was tryna make things happen when he came on which cant be said about the rest of the midfielders bar robinho, so maybe the beast is a thought for the upcoming games

i also definately wanna see afonso given 90 minutes, although its hard to blame vagner love when brazils approach play has been lacking, remember hes playing up there on his own, yes he has robinho behind him, but robinho prides himself on individual brilliance rather then laying on passes to the man ahead

as for the chances of winning the copa america, u never know, if brazil make it through, i say if because despite ecaudor losing twice i was impressed by their play and it wont be easy, but if they do make it through it becomes 1 off games which by the way brazil is playing might suit them more. maybe if they can improve as the tournament goes on it could be a good thing as remember the world cup, france started off very poorly similar to brazil in this copa america but ended up reaching the final...... oh well all is not doom and gloom.....yet

BTW ... the ref yesterday was atrocious. The PK was correct, but he screwed up so many fouls and spent 3 minutes just to give the Chilean sub a damn yellow card.

I also didn't understand the 2 min of additional time given in the first half. There were 2 injuries, and around 4 minutes to take the PK.

The refs in the copa period have been terrible. Is it me or their is a serious lack of good refs in futbol.
