Here is an article I found today in the Guatemalan news. http://www.prensalibre.com/pl/2007/junio/27/175557.html
Read the whole article. Sounds to me like this is still up in the air, depending upon tomorrow and Friday, and earlier in the article it talked about next year. Nothing as certain as your thread title at all.
If the two Cubans and the Honduran all come over that 3 new players I could see where this could be an issue Just in case you missed the Hinduran rumored...... http://www.elsalvador.com/mwedh/nota/nota_completa.asp?idCat=2929&idArt=1478417
Well, ffs, someone translate the article. He hurt his g*d damn knee...... "I felt the injury and I knew I couldn't continue, it happened when I kicked the ball. I'm worried, but I hope it won't be serious". said Thompson. "The possibilities of being signed were reduced, first due to the injury and then because Freddy was out of rhythm and it would take atleast two weeks for him to come regain it.........
According to Gol TV His signing is on hold for now... Chivas USA want someone that can play now and not three weeks from now. So he is heading back to his club in Guatemala today. He has been invited to come back again next January at the beginning of the pre season for next year to see what his condition is then.
Freddy William Thompson IS another John O'Brien. On the pitch. He has had some injury problems, but nothing like O'Brien (if it wasn't his anle, it was his quad, or hamstring, or left pinky toe). If there is any chance of Chivas signing this kid, injury or not, they should jump on it.
Can't say this disapoints me as his and Alas' signing did not really spark interest in me. Can't miss what you never had. I'm excited about the prospect Cubans though! Maybe more curious than excited 2BH. Either way, more interest in them than the CA's.
