because they aren't a country. They're a department of France. Like Puerto Rico is a department of the United States. Just like Basque or Catalonia. That is what mkes them FIFA ineligible.

We may have illegitimately beaten Canada but at least we weren't tied 0-0 with Guadeloupe at the half :D

0-0 at half time. From this, which one would you want playing the US on Sunday? I can't decide from this.

We are serious. This game will come down to the end and at halftime it is a close game with the score being 0-0. Guadelouope beat Honduras and Mexico lost to them. I know that doesent mean Guadeloupe will win but they can play.

They're not exactly here as a "filler". They are here because they qualified to be here by finishing 4th in the Carribean Nations Cup. This is one of those technicalities. I believed they are a recognized "nation" - as in having a nationality. But they are not a self-governing country.

None. He'd be unemployed. I guess that could be considered pressure, but you get my drift.

Hopefully the weaker side, Mexico, can get a lucky win out of this so we don't have to try too hard in the final.

Anytime, no problem. It has been pretty dull so far though. No great chance yet bet it is pretty even and Mexico is not even close to outplaying Guadeloupe.

pretty even??? are you watching the game. don't have the numbers but the possession looks to be 80/20 in favor of mexico. guadeloupe is lucky to be 0-0. no one can defend for 90, they need some kind of attack.

one would assume he gets fired. the mexicans have far less patience for incompetence than we do. especially considering the shitstorm sanchez stirred up in order to get the job.

i have a wierd feeling Mexico is going to pull out the win unless Guadelopue scores twice like they did against Honduras. that would be amazing but i doubt the soccer gods are with them tonight.

The possession is probably like 65 to 35 but Mexico hasent had 1 chance that scared the kepper or the defense. They have not looked dangerous at all.

Curious as to how much money it costs Guadeloupe and Martinique to be 'associate' members of CONCACAF?
