Didn't see a thread for this yet. Ives says Keller will be getting his 100th cap: http://njmg.typepad.com/sbi/2007/06/keller-to-earn-.html
While we certainly cannot look past Canada (shades of our own federation about 10 years ago), we should win this game. Seeing as US Soccer has decided to take this competition more seriously than Copa America, we have two more games we have to win or the entire exercise has been a loss. C'mon Guadeloupe!
Here is the US lineup vs. Canada: -----------------Johnson-------------------- ----------------Dempsey------------------- Beasley - Mastroeni - Bradley - Donovan Bornstein - Bocanegra - Onyewu - Hejduk ------------------Keller---------------------- BENCH: Howard, Feilhaber, DeMerit, Simek, Clark, Twellman, Mapp
That lineup looks pretty solid, should be able to take down Canada...my only problem is why is Parky not even on the bench, did he not show enough or something to Bradley when he got his time? In any case, GO NATS!!!
Here's Canada's lineup ------------------Gerba--------------------- ----------------DeRosario------------------ DeGuzman - Nash - Hutchinson - Bernier ---Jazic - Hastings - Hainault - Stalteri-- -----------------Onstad--------------------- BENCH- Braz, Harmse, Hume, Nakajima-Farran, Ribeiro, Pozniak.
Nice to see FSC using the dirty lenses for Chicago. What a horrible picture, at least during the pregame. Christian Miles in the studio looks like HD compared to the feed from Soldier Field.
Soldier Field is SOLD OUT...and the stadium is just about empty!!! I guess they've got Mexicans in Chicago..
Donavan not even 5 yards away on that free kick!! How many times do you need to be told. Should easily have been a yellow card!
hope the refs straighten things out (for both sides). it would suck if they decided the game. damn. nice goal
whats up with the attendance? a game between two countries that really give a shit about soccer no wonder MLS is as popular as arena football
