Now that's more like it, some big moves this week.
Winning the whole thing was petezuke17, with a 292 point grand slam!
He got all the games right and bet more on the blowouts than the draws. He's up 5 spots knocking on the Div 1 door.
Second goes to AMERICANS SC, who has been creeping up on the leaders and is now within 100 points of the top. He teed off on road weary DAL for Play of the Week.
Third was Greywacke who continues his strong season, going ballistic on CVS against the Rapids.
Shaydee puts in another strong performance up 2 to number 8 as our fourth place finisher. He played it mostly safe, but won big with DCU.
Finally, NoSix continues down the comeback trail cleaning up with CVS.
Winning promotion to div 2 is DamonEsquire, while Quango and administrator guy slip into div1, Quango only narrowly missing the top 5.
    Watch out for wednesday game.

This certainly is shaping up to be a successful and competitive year (even though overall participation numbers might be down) as the 13-player Division 1 is currently populated with all positive Perf/yr performers.

I don't feel comfortable in my current spot (and I've always thought these threads were more enjoyable and useful when there were players to chase -- as opposed to avoid being caught by).

Just so I understand completely, it's not possible to finish say 3rd in the "Rate of Return" table at the end of the year and in 1st place in the "Perf" table, is it?

All three tables end up being aligned at the end of the season, correct?

Yes all three tables will converge.

If you look at the other two tables, you're just ahead in one. So you can chase on the other two! Since we've all used different picks, it's impossible to tell who is really ahead! Hopefully, it continues to stay close.

A couple of weeks ago, I explained the different types of Inverse Karma and explained how it can be good or bad. But I forgot one type, one which could be considered True Inverse Karma: where a player skips a week, gets no points, but still wins an Inverse Karma Award anyway. This week, we have a player who got just so rewarded for slacking off, and it also turns out to be the newest member of the society - so new, in fact, he hasn't even gotten the WPL letters branded into his right leg yet. Patfan1, in just his 3rd active week, picks up his first IKA (maybe the first by a Revs fan as well) and jumps into the 24th spot with a score of 234.53. Congrats, Monty. (and oh, yeah, I'll bring the branding iron by on Saturday, so we'll get that out of the way, too) :p

    Runners-up:
    dredgfan 155.38
    Qdog 127.18

Not a whole lot of Inverse Karma lately, as everyone seems to be a bit spread out in the table. Should be interesting to see what happens between the 5 and 8 spots this week, though... very close race. Best of luck to everyone.

    congrats and well done.

i suppose you'll also do the secondary duty of un-stickying the previous weeks' threads.

i was so shocked by the stickying of this thread that it took me a while to find it at the top (i was so used to having to wade thourgh everything else).

well that will never happen again. thanks.

There are only 18 posts up for tonight's game. Somehow we need to re-energize this baby!
