Full List First 11 games (3 months) Saturday, 11 August 2007 Aston Villa v Liverpool, 15:00 Wednesday, 15 August 2007 Liverpool v West Ham, 19:45 Saturday, 18 August 2007 Liverpool v Chelsea, 15:00 Saturday, 25 August 2007 Sunderland v Liverpool, 15:00 Saturday, 01 September 2007 Liverpool v Derby, 15:00 Saturday, 15 September 2007 Portsmouth v Liverpool, 15:00 Saturday, 22 September 2007 Liverpool v Birmingham, 15:00 Saturday, 29 September 2007 Wigan v Liverpool, 15:00 Saturday, 06 October 2007 Liverpool v Tottenham, 15:00 Saturday, 20 October 2007 Everton v Liverpool, 15:00 Saturday, 27 October 2007 Liverpool v Arsenal, 15:00 Aston Villa away and then West Ham (possible clash with CL qualifier) and Chelsea at home to start off with. October gets very interesting with Spurs and Arsenal visiting with away to Everton in between. Also, we play the other top 5 in the second half of the season.
i like it better than last year, esp if we can man up and beat chelski at home there is no reason whatever we cant get a good start this year, and play the tougher away games when we have rounded into form. 37-1-0 with a tie away to Darby
I recall the worst match we played, by a long way, was at Aston Villa. I wonder if we are able to field a team capable of breaking down a packed defence this time around. I doubt that Aston Villa will be ambitious and attack us.
There is no reason that we can't get off to a flying start...I think our toughest stretch will be in October with Arsenal and Tottenham visiting and traveling to Everton. Otherwise we have Chelsea the third game, and a handful of teams that have been down in the Championship sometime in the last five years.
Looks like a more favourable start than last season. No reason why we can't be alot closer to Manure and Chel$ki than after 11 games last season.
we'll need 25 points from these games, and it is achievable. if we don't get this #, we may well already be out of the title race. LB, I'll be in London the 13th/14th, and madrid after that. the arsenal game would intrigue me into flying back.
Well play chelsea as our first match at anfield, cuase on the 15th well have to travel for the knockout C.L round, and chelsea dont so thell have an edge over us....hopefully playing one more competitive match than chelsea could give us the edge, but it will be a tough fixture physicaly for the players....does anyone know when the C.L Kncokout round fixtures are anounced??...i hope the team is close to england...
Oooooh thats going to be a bitter October but I can't wait! It's important we start well and stay consistent well into December. Here's hoping for better defending in the first few games.
Definitely. That and a bit more ambition in the final third will do nicely. Oh, and some more points from our competitors,
I'm aiming on going to see my old mum at the end of October, depends on Biz of course but I'll know ahead of time. A "Threesome" might be fun.... I can put feelers out for tickets to my cousin.
"bitter October" Pun intended I hope... Yeh, the past two seasons we've been crap going into Xmas. Too busy with the continental (Spanish) training and then going into the malstrom that is the Prem....???
This is where I hate living so far away- if anyone's got a spare $5,000 to send over to Sydney so I can fly over for a game- it would be appreciated highly!! Maybe I should write to Tom Hicks and get him to fly me over?
Dear Mr Hicks, Me and my Ausie mate both LFCFans for life would want to see a Liverpool match from the Kop this year...........(OK this needs carrying on, add your line from here)
Beautiful!! Spurs at home to complete the Honeymoon. Looking forward to being in the stands @ Anfield!
Sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate you Honeymoon. Almost like a Bill Shankley story... "Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present, it was her birthday. Would I have got married in the football season? Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves." Bill Shankly
