Just added today. A rep told me i could add spanish language channels to my package for $5 a month or change to the spanish package(not sure of cost) and i would lose some english speaking channels. Unfortunately this includes the speed channel so i guess ill have to add it for $5.

you're getting it on free preview?

Nigel, you are right. It is on 821, thanks for that.

And to Cassano, I'm going through the same ordeal as you are. I even tried calling good ol' Time Warner and they went through the whole reboot, re-signal methods and it still don't work. If you ever get it to work, please let me know how.

    Thanks.

Do I need the entire spanish package to get Deportes?? Or is it available seperately (like Fox Sports en Espanol)?

Seriously, the rest of the channels are useless (for soccer anyway). Maybe the odd highlight and Spanish NT coverage on TVE, but that's it.

Yeah. The bonus is that its also free. Before it was an additional $6/month just for ESPN HD, as you probably know. Now we get ESPN 1/2 HD free in NYC.

Oh and I just called Time Warner. Got ESPN Deportes (and the rest of the latino package) for an additional $5/month. Was gonna wait for the Champions League to start, but figured for that price I might as well get it now and watch the conclusion of the u-21 UEFA championship.

i live in queens and it says that i have to call to subscribe, but when i called the man said i was supposed to get it because i have a digital cable box so he tried rebooting and it didn't work so he made me schedule an appointment with them for a tech to come over. anyone in queens get the channel for free or did you have to subscribe to it?

    yep, they are free.

Also today I ordered ESPN Deportes and they said I could get it for free if I switched to the DTV en Espanol package which is basically all the same channels as normal DTV with ESPN Deportes and the new Latino package. So I did.

you can either add the spanish package for $5 month or you can get rid of some american channels like golf channel, ifc, speed and some others to get it for free.
