There is absolutely nothing deserving of getting a red against Mexico. Point blank gunshot to the back of the head is only a yellow in my book. Mexico can lick my sack. They are the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

Ps. Congrats Mexico on the win. Any win is a good win.

That's what I thought. Looks like both of these teams will be depleted for their QF matches.

the way you've played this GC, you've lost all privileges to get your own game thread in the US forums.... :D

FOr me, this is no biggie...At this point Panama is allright, missing two starters due to red cards...but let's not forget they played us tight in the 05 finals..... Let CR eliminate Mexico, that's fine by me as well..... the way they are playing, Sunday will indeed be Mexico's last game on this GC....

ANd yeah, Mexico has major luck....What always comes to my mind is that, if this were a team coached by Lavolpe , Hugo would not stop being an ass about the poor displays.. INstead, nowadays as coach he gives more pathetic excuses than anyone i've ever seen in charge of Mexico....which is quite astounding to be honest....

Panama has hit the post three times and had two shots cleared of the line by mexican defenders. They have put the ball on goal way more than Mexico. Mexico has hit the post once and scored once.

Good 'ole Carlos has distributed 13 cards, two of which resulted in a red and one of which was a straight red. Mexico commited around 25 fouls, Panama 15.

Panama have looked by for the more dangerous team. Mexico look pathetic.

The field looks absolutely atrocious; I think one of the Panamanians was hurt due to the uneven strips.

Many of the Mexican fans have shown a total lack of class (botle and trash throwing at the panamanian players; whistles and many, many horns during the Panamanian anthem).

I wish we could have taken them on Saturday.

    Oh well.

    That would suck for us.

Well . . . actually, I'm torn: do I want Mexico to lose so bad that I don't care if we play them, or do I want us to personally send them out . . . hmm . . . that's tough.

I hope so, but CR have managed to be even worse than Mexico so far.

Forgive my ignorance (and laziness for not reading the whole thread), but why does Panama make it over Gaudeloupe? More goals scored?

Although Panama may be depleted, please remeber the US has struggled againist them in the past, including the last final.

Didn't see their last game, but Costa Rica hasn't exactly looked that great so far, have they?

Then again, the rest and playing against a depleted Mexico will help. Is CR missing any players for the next game?

Both make it. 2 out of 3 3rd place teams go, El Salvador is the team left out (fewest points at 3).

Mexico is a lot like us though. Even when we suck ass we seem to find a way. I still predict a USA/MEX final in front of a 95/5% Mexican crowd at Soldier Field.

A USNT fan talking about a team being a disgrace to the game:rolleyes:

I love the irony in this thread

switch the name of the teams and this would be the thread of the February 7 game

well get ready, because this is exactly what's going to happen. Mexico's problem is about 1/2 tactical and 1/2 motivational. the players clearly don't give a shite about this tournament. even for a capacity stadium (full of 95% their fans) they didn't feel like putting forth any effort. once they start getting the adrenalin flowing and start actually CARING, they'll be a lot more dangerous.

but I agree with most on here (most El Tri fans, in fact), that was the worst Mexico performance I've seen in ... in ... hell I can't remember ever seeing Mexico play that ugly of a football game. that was worse than us in like, 1988. a garbage performance, and one of the most unjust 1-0 results I've seen in some time.

that being said, Mexico WILL find their form when they play us ... they always do. if they don't Hugol's a goner.

Why? Three for Panama wasn't enough for you?
