I think we have one of the most talented teams coming into this thing, and I believe we can win all of our games in the preliminary rounds. I don't know how good the other teams are but, I feel this team can do something special.
Re: Israel U-21 vs. Netherlands U-21 Euro Championships Based on the preparations made by this team, I don't know if they can. But I would relish the chance to actually be in Beijing in 2008.
Re: Israel U-21 vs. Netherlands U-21 Euro Championships too bad its broadcast in payment here in israel. this country is crazi broadcast national team in payment and no one do nothing about this. but im sure 100% shpungin will be in europe after this tournament. im optimistic
Re: Israel U-21 vs. Netherlands U-21 Euro Championships No Name, you can watch the games online at http://www.myp2p.eu , download sopcast http://www.myp2p.eu/Programs/Sopcast.htm , and Tvants http://tvants.en.softonic.com/ . Good Luck, the game is at 17:15 GMT Sunday against the Netherlands.
Re: Israel U-21 vs. Netherlands U-21 Euro Championships What time is starting locally in Los Angeles? I want to watch the game live.
Re: Israel U-21 vs. Netherlands U-21 Euro Championships Im all for Israeli players in Europe, but only if the league they are going to is better than the Israeli League. Its great if Israelis can play in one of the big 5 leagues or in leagues in Belgium, Holland, etc. But playing in leagues like Switzerland or Austria is not that much of a step up if any.
Re: Israel U-21 vs. Netherlands U-21 Euro Championships The game will start at 9:15 am pacific time. Just follow my directions on the previous post and you should be fine.
Re: Israel U-21 vs. Netherlands U-21 Euro Championships I disagree, moving to clubs in Austria and Switzerland helps you move to bigger clubs in Europe. So any move is a good move. For all those in the United States, ESPN Deportes will be broadcasting all the UEFA U-21 Championship matches. The Israeli Network will not.
Re: Israel U-21 vs. Netherlands U-21 Euro Championships Israel itself is becoming a "stepping stone" league. Awat, Benayoun, Ben Haim, Sahar and others will follow. Look at Balili. He has been in Turkey for 4 years and he is no closer to playing in one of the big 5 leagues than when he was at Hapoel.
Re: Israel U-21 vs. Netherlands U-21 Euro Championships Pini Balili is not a good example. I have gotten to know him and he only cares about where he will get paid the most. He had no interest in "improving".
uefa.com will show the game for $5.00 US. Or you can try the links above to watch for free, don't know how the quality will be though. ESPN Deportes is also showing the game although I know Time Warner doesn't offer this channel (at least in my area) so i'll probably have to fork up 5 bucks... Good luck to the under-21 team - i have a lot of faith in them and believe they have a very realistic shot at progressing, if not winning the whole thing!
Half Time: Netherlands 1 - 0 Israel The goal they scored in the 10th minute was unfortunate and could have been avoided, but I can't say they didn't deserve it. They have been creating chances and one of them paid off. Israel's been pressing forward as well and has been trying to create chances. I haven't seen Tamuz so I'm assuming he'll be put in the game in the 2nd half, although I don't see how that will change anything since Sahar, who started, hasen't been able to do much. There has to be better movement from Midfield to our attackers. Our defense has looked alittle weak as well and they need to do better or else Netherlands will break through again... Netherlands have outshot Israel by 7 to 5 which isn't bad considering they're the current cup holders...
Full Time: Netherlands 1 - 0 Israel The scoreline doesn't fully represent the dominance the Netherlands exhibited over the Israeli defense in the 2nd half. They have to do much much better if they want to secure at least 2nd place to advance to the semis. We were able to show off some of our talent in the few moments where we had posession in the Netherlands' half but not nearly enough. I can't comment on which players were great and which weren't since the quality of the stream wasn't that good but I can say that our defense was clearly a problem and if it wasn't for Almadon, the scoreline would've been worse.
We did. Itzhaki was very good on the ball, Sahar had flashes of briliance when he got the ball as well. The problem is management. All these players were brought up in the Israeli system which is, score score score. None of these players were brought up in youth teams that teach tactics and man management on the pitch. I don't fault our players, just our system. In terms of raw talent we were right up there with them.
even if they have talent its not very matter. we played too defensvie with 2 defensive middlefields. its a shame how we look. omer peretz such a shit player who have protection becuse his father.
Israel didn't play that badly. Just when you don't score you pay the price. Omer Peretz should have put Israel in the lead, he didn't. A minute later Holland scored.
Oh well, we can probably beat Belgium, we just have to keep on plugging away, Im guessing they will play better as the tournament goes on.
