Indeed. Couldn't find many Chivas tailgaters in Section 13, saw lots of Galaxy though. Sitting with the Chivas supporters was fun as hell! The flag came out around the 60th and it was total pandemonium. Couldn't of asked for a better first time game at the HDC (except for Captain Smurf scoring.) Definitely coming back soon.
A girl in the Galaxy supporters section got hit by a battery at the end of the game. It missed a 1 year-old's head by inches. Very Classy, goats.
I drove by section 13 and I could make out a sea of red shirts...I wasn't able to make it to section 13, settled for section 11, thanks to traffic and dominos pizza for slacking on my order. =\ The legion flag is just AWESOME. I'm impressed with the legion more and more! Can anyone post pics? O, wtf was that puny teal and white flag the galaxy fans tried to unfurl? We had a great laugh...
Sorry to hear that. I've never seen behavior like that at a Chivas USA game, and it sucks when people act without class. The flag was awesome, yet again. Good turnout for the game, though I didn't make it in until the 22nd minute (friends were late getting going). Overall a good game and great atmosphere. Everyone I take to Chivas games is always impressed with the gameday environment. I'm converting fans one at a time...
It's very sad to hear that. I truly hope the girl is ok and the thrower is caught. Some people just take things too far. Im sure if security was notified they will work on finding that person. But FYI... a supporters section is a Bullseye for violence. Thats common sense.
I'm not saying it didn't happen... but how did someone get a battery in when everyone had to go through metal detectors?
Digital cameras. How else did you get pictures of your big flag? By the way, who PAID for that flag? tm
Most likely a digital camera. But I wouldn't put it past some drunk idiot to think of doing something stupid like that. Sucks to hear stuff like that.
Nothing but praise can be said about the Legion! You guys truly grasp the 12th man mentality. Keep up the good work! As for the game, I thought that our boys were a bit unfortunate. We were victimized by a combination of Razov's poor header, Merlin's non-call, and an unlucky bounce to Donovan. Game three should be very interesting.
All for the good of the Legion, the team, and to raise the bar to the next level. LoL many weekends were lost to make this Mega Trapo but it all paid off in the end.
What does that say about the size of LA fans' balls? The cool thing about it is it allows people in adjacent sections (I'm not in the Riot Squad) to actually watch the game. Though I can understand given Chivas USA's history, why you would want to divert attention from the field every chance you get.
Wow. I've seen some lame excuses in my day, but that one is right up there with the best of them. Wait, wait, wait, lemme get this straight. A Gals fan talking sh!t about Chivas' style of play? I only became a CDUSA fan last year but it was because they actually play attractive football, something the Gals know nothing about. Seriously, watching a Gals game makes my eyes hurt. Your boring brand of soccer lends credence to all the soccer haters out there. While we haven't always been successful, at least we play the beautiful game. Oh, and last I checked we're 3 points up on the Gals with +2 goal differential.
If they were a playoff team I might actually stop laughing and pay attention. You also lack any credibility with a stud like "Passback" Pete Vagenas on the field.
