Is it me or are day games a lot more enjoyable than night games? We're in Southern California after all, why not enjoy the weather it has to offer?

The turnout was great. Yes, that's due in part to the derby, but I also think it's more appealing to take your family to a game on Sunday afternoon than on Saturday night.

I'll go to games whenever they are, but I prefer spending the day soaking up sun and enjoying the beautiful game. Is part of the reason we don't have many day game b/c of TV and/or West Coast timezone?

I agree 100000000% percent. I had a better time yesterday than I have in a long time, just because I could enjoy sitting on the grass, watching the last 3rd of the game.

I think more day games would be fine for the April/May period of the season. But not for the summer months. Sitting in the stands in 100+degree weather is definately not an enjoyable way of watching a match.

    My guess is skin cancer.

how many 100+degree weather days have their been in the last three seasons? Carson rarely gets that hot. It's not like the HDC is in Van Nuys.

It also depends on what side of the stadium you are in and how you watch the game. We stand and chant in a area that gets no shade for 90+, so I prefer night games. :)

I sat in the sun the whole game and it was brilliant out there. Of course, I wasn't jumping up and down and screaming, but it was still really nice enjoying the weather.

It will get hot in the middle of summer, but the heat in Southern California is nothing compared to the miserable humidity in the rest of the country. 100 degrees here feels like 80 degrees in Texas.

I can understand from the players POV that they might not want to play in the heat of the afternoon, but it's enjoyable from a fan's perspective.

I tend to enjoy night games, but having a few day games are always welcome. This could be a real benefit when things cool down later on in the season.
