Wow :( I guess its better that this happen now and not next year.

Is it safe to hope that this is the end of the financial problems? Please?

From what I'm reading it seems as though all the debt is finally gone. Sounds like there was another 35 million in debt which seems rather high since I thought we had our debt under control. Not sure if that is just Ken Bates making things sound worse than they were or if that is the truth.

It seems as though this is the right business decision. A debt-free club with a fan base the size of Leeds in League 1 could present itself to be a fairly attractive piece of business for a potential investor. If some of the current players on the team stick around, mixed with some youngsters and a few good buys in the transfer market and we could bounce back. Maybe that is just too optimistic at this time though.

    I'll go with being optimistic.

People in England aren't happy because they feel Leeds are cheating the system.

They were over 100 million in debt trying to chase a dream. They got caught out and went into a kind of administration. The extremely unpopular and arrogant Ken Bates bought the club and the debts were magically reduced to 30 million. By the way even Leeds fans can't stand Ken Bates (ex Chelsea president) and are desperate to get him away from the club.

Anyhow Leeds have gone into admistration sold the club back to Ken Bates and now the debts are almost zero.

Leeds are getting a 10 point deduction but its applies this season. Everyone thinks that morally it should apply to next season, but Leeds have worked the rules to their advantage.

It stinks if you ask me. Leeds have huge potential and with no debts they could come back. Makes you wonder why every club with debt dont just go into administration.

I'm not so sure Leeds will be back any time soon. I mean, what kind of team are they going to field? It's not as if Keane, Fowler, Kewell are going to walk thru the clubhouse door. The few good players they have left aren't gonna hang around, are they? No, I fear the once proud Leeds Unted will descend further down the black hole of oblivion.

I think you have to wait and see what the offseason brings. Who knows who will be leaving the club. I think Healy is probably out, but I think a guy like Cresswell who has been hurt all year could stick around. If he is healthy next year he could be a great goalscorer in League One. Also, many of the youngsters for Leeds could make an impact on the first team and that could help as well. I think it's too early to say what kind of team we will have next year.

Very shrewd business move on Leeds part.

If you want to see the flip-side of what Leeds is doing, check out what is going on with Boston United.

It's funny how scum fans claim they don't give a toss about the rivalry with Leeds, and yet here they are invading our boards. Let's see how many of these spokes fly off when the wheels come off the bandwagon...and the same goes for Chelski.

Great use of the Rules by bates. nobody can say this isnt allowed as it was inside the rules which the FA installed, so well done mr Bates. It is looking like Leeds might be bought over by a Asian consortium, or Don Revie's son or even local property invertor Morris.

Who would you lot like to take us over?? Morris just wants us so he can build us a new 50,000k ground and sell ER off to earn extra money for him. We dont even need a 50,000k ground in League 1.

Revie was looking good for a time but now it looks liek this is all talk. He went to the papers and radios etc. and he never even went to Bates himself, although it does seem as if he has presented Bates with Proof of funds now.

As for the Asian consortium, i am un-decided. This could be a great move for us, given is much money etc. while it may also not be liked to have owner from a differnet part of the world, when you can have Revie or Morris who are local and have had some involvement in Leeds in the past.

Who knows what will happen come June 1st, we just have to sit back and see what happens. Plenty of twists and turns in this yet me thinks but one till remains the same,
    MARCHING ON TOGETHER!!
