'Off the ball' in my experience refers to any play made while not in possession of the ball. Buete did not have the ball when he violently shoved Worthen to the ground after the whistle. It was 5 feet away because Buete knocked it back to Jarun(after fouling Worthen) right before Worthen hooked him over his legs.
Perhaps the Silverbacks will be allowed to continue playing that way, but I doubt it. A big fight will happen or someone will get hurt, I just hope the league will eventually sort things out.

whats the saying about glass houses and rocks;)

Yeah thanks for the idiom.....and for missing the point. Buete was punished for his actions, Worthen was not.

    Cool pics Jarrett!

well it seemed to me your point was that carolina and specifically worthen are a dirty team who in the future will have big consequences from their actions, and i'm pointing out that it takes two to tango and atlanta (IMO) was just as guilty in the past game of harsh tackles and plays as the railhawks
btw if you read one of my other posts i did say worthen deserved a yellow on the play

So apparently it is Hawaiian night at the game this Saturday. On the right hand side of their website it says game day promotions.

It’s Hawaiian Night at the Carolina RailHawks game!! Be sure to wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt or outfit as we cheer your RailHawks on to victory over the Charleston Battery.

As much as I love Kupono Low, I'm still wearing my orange railhawks t-shirt (and orange jersey if the blasted things ever come in)

I'm hearing they will be wearing orange on Saturday. The Charleston guys aren't going to be up in time for the kickaround so just the tailgate as usual.

Well some of my buddies and I are going to do one of our regular pick up games of soccer on one of the SAS fields starting at about 4:00. We'll probably use the one directly north of the stadium.

Since many of my friends are working we're going to have a much smaller turnout than usual. So if anyone is interested in coming before their tailgate to play some soccer for a bit you're more than welcome to.

Just find the guy with the 2002 French Jersey (me) and join in the game.

Holy Crap! Since when is USL-1 on W11? Or did you actually take the time to create the whole thing, teams, kits, players...?

A guy over at USLDiscussions is working on an option file. As soon as he is finished with it, he'll share it with us all. For now, he just put together some screen shots for me...

Anywhere between 1 and 2 hours. Its very casual of course. We'll probably play until the TSF Tailgate starts around 530. Our normal tradition is to order some New York Pizza so we'll send someone off to go get some for the tailgate. You are welcome to join in on that. (with the donation of a few dollars of course.

No. I've got no room in the Mini. If someone wants to stop by my house in Western Cary this afternoon and pick it up, I'm okay with that.

A nice, long, road trip will cure some of your delusional fans.

On Wed. you'll get beat up in Seattle (maybe draw) "Hackfest 07"
On Fri. you'll lose in Vancouver
On Sun. you'll lose in Portland

..... And tell Schweitzer that, "Rahway and Newark will ALWAYS be Elizabeth's bitch!" :D

Portland and the army await you.
