I would like to know your secret to eternal youth that can keep enough of these players playing in 5 years!

Sure I'll give you the secret to stay young.

First: Try and eat as much dead animal flesh as you can, preferably deep fried in their own fat or butter.

Second: Wash all that food down with as much beer as you can.

Third: During the meal chain smoke 3 or 4 complete packs of Marlboro's

Fourth: After the meal, go down to the worst London neighborhood, pick out the ugliest most disgusting crack whore you can find and bang her without using a rubber....

If you do this day in and day out you will be able to play World Class Soccer as long as you like.

That team isn't that good. None of those guys are accustomed to the EPL style of play, and they would easily be the most hated team in the league. Even if they avoided the drop on wins, they would still be relegated on finance, considering that nobody in england would pay to see that team.

Who's to say the EPL style of play is accustomed to that team's style of play?

No offense, because I do love MLS, but it won't take long for Premiership clubs to get used to the slower, less precise play of MLS players.

that team would be somewhere in the middle of the 1st division standings, not in the premier league.

boy your stupid. they would generate so much money merely by the first round of games every team selling out thinking itll be a blowout, then they would survive on american fans looking for a gimmick. wow.. that hot arizona sun must be getting to you.

Why do so many big soccer posters refer to good US players as studs? Why don't you just add muffins and let it be the end. Landon Donovan is a stud muffin? :) Geez, can't you just say they are great players.

I think the term has its origin in horse racing. Stud is a retired race horse that basically spends the day having sex so breeders can raise throughbreds. So a stud is a naturally gifted male worthy of breeding.

Of course, I could be wrong, but I wanted to sneak in a reference to horses having sex.

Sorry Skipshady, btw I enjoyed hearing you talk about horses having sex. Actually, I have always associated the word stud as being used by girls. i.e, "hey there stud". So it seems kinda of homosexual to me to read male posters calling LD that. Oh well. Sorry. Ignore me.

You are the most oblivious moron I've ever encountered in my time on planet earth. That team is absolute shite. Considering the question asks how this team would do in the ENGLISH premier league, I'm assuming that the matches would be played in ENGLAND. There wouldn't be any American fans there to support them because its in ENGLAND, which removes any chance of a large american following. Also, nobody in england in their right mind wuld pay to watch this team, mostly because its completely devoid of any english players, and full of americans for that matter. People don't just ditch there favorite club to root for new teams, its not like expansion baseball buddy.

Oh, and that Arizona comment was cute. I'm shocked you even knew where Arizona was. I'll stop now, I know this isn't WR, but still, some people need to hear it like it is...

Re: Re: Re: Re: no way

Seriously, why would you root for a club like Bolton when you could root for Man U? Its like so much easier and they like always win and stuff. Plus they used to have that guy married to the spice girls who dressed real cool and had those cool haircuts. I here Fergies like making Paul Scholes do that stuff now so they can market him.

Go to an actual match and see what real fans from clubs like West Brom and Bolton are all about. You'll be surprised...

All-star MLS team? I dunno about that. Doesn't look like a team that would even win the MLS title. For starters, it's looking at big problems in the back. Pope can play at EPL level, but the other defenders are just run-of-the-mill MLS starting defenders. And Orlando Perez doesn't belong on a MLS pitch, let alone in the EPL. In midfield, the only semi-convincing d-mid I see is Mulrooney, who is apparently going to have to do all the dirty work for not one but three or four attack-minded players. And up front, even though McBride and Twellman are both good players, I suspect that having both on the pitch at once has the makings of a disaster. Both are target forwards, and neither has any pace. Glinton has done nothing yet in MLS beyond demonstrating that he's better than Chris Albright, which isn't saying much at all. And Carrieri is a decent squad player in MLS, nothing more. None of the forwards listed can function as a lone striker.

I think this team finishes no better than mid-table in MLS. Forget about the EPL.

    Re: Re: Re: no way

I was joking but it seems many people agreed with my joke, that's not my fault.

McBride did have bit of trouble scoring after the first few games, right about when Premiership defences realised he wasn't totally useless and marked him closer.

Yep, poor me for being a Bolton fan, having to watch Premiership football week in week out....
