The Timbers are clearly the more highly skilled team, they just lost some focus in the middle portio of the match. Bower looked good at times, disinterested at others. That goalie for Vancouv is complete crap. He can barely make a routine save.

Mckinley Tennyson is the best player in the league.

After the game, I had to punch some Vancouver fans in the neck, causing them to crap their pants. It was funny. I was looking for Krammerhead, but I think he already had a load in his pants.

The pub crawl was a great time. Props to Steven for putting it together and giving us an excuse to drink for six hours straight. Not much to say about the match except that I was so glad the Timbers were able to pull out a victory and bonus point in such a critical game. I was expecting a much smaller crowd considering that it wasn't on the regular schedule. Tennyson is on a tear. If the guy scores he'll score again. It's almost automatic. I think he's only had one game where he scored and it was his only goal for that match. Crazy. Who knew when we were coming up with a song for him that it would prove to be so true. O Tennyson O Tennyson, he'll score on you again and again. The Bitter End after the game was almost as entertaining as the match itself. Costigan and Vadeem had their groupies who looked like deer caught in the headlights until the boys showed up. Sancho kicked ass on the foosball table and Tennyson seemed embarrassed and amused by the chants when he entered the pub. Laura got just about every player there to sign her little toy chainsaw. The highlite was the look on Vadeem's groupies when she asked him to sign the chainsaw. Priceless. The woman who came in with Sancho was smokin'. Wow. Way to go Brent! A great pre match, an even better win. It was good to see the boys enjoying themselves in the pub afterwards. All in all a fantastic day for the Timbers.

A big win that has put us in a great playoff position. Those last 20 minutes were nerve wracking. I could write more about the pre and post game festivities but you'll have to read the Tales from the Shed at:

It was funny when the whiteCRAPS goalkeeper Jim Larkin turned and waved to us and then Tennyson put one past him right after that. I think Larkin felt strange that we could see his G-string. Still not sure why a goalkeeper at this level would play a match with a G-string on? (maybe he does it so the southsiders have something to shout about?)

I thought we sort of sat back after going up two-nil. The Whitecaps continually outhustled us in the second half.

It seemed that everyone in the shed was a bit tired. I know I was and I didn't even go on any pub crawls.

    See everyone on Tuesday.

I thought we didn't play particularly well after the 2-0 lead. I don't think the first Whitecaps goal should have counted, when the ball was played to Jordan he was a good yard offside. We only got the win though when Niall Thompson made a very, very poor attempt to clear the ball at the end.

We played well enough to win, but we did not look sharp after the first 35 minutes.

Jordan from the craps is a good player. The 2nd goal of his was quite skillful, otherwise they are a bunch of drolling momma's boys though.

By the way, you guys in the shed are the best. I sit in your section every game, just have yet to make my way down. I have been to nearly every MLS stadium and our supporters club for the Timbers is better than most any MLS team has.

The 2nd Jordan goal was amazing, and I had a perfect angle on it.. It was going to be about 2 feet wide when it was struck, but it spun enough to catch the inside of the post. Masterful shot.

Greg Howes' shot was pretty nice too, a soft volley to the upper right corner. Caught that one pretty well in my pics.

We have to play better than we did for the last 55 minutes if we want to go anwhere in the playoffs though. We were just begging Vancouver to steal this one from us.
