On the Northwest corner of the stadium, the parking lot was logjammed for nearly half an hour -- no movement at all. Did everyone else get caught in a time warp, or did some of you get to leave at a reasonable pace? Not really complaining (how could I, the game was so awesome?), but I'm wondering if HSG and FCD still have a lot of homework to do on traffic management when we get decent crowds.
Yeah traffic management was non-existent as far as I could tell in the East lot. I ended up turning left on Frisco St. and taking an extended route home. (But at least I was moving.) Who cares though... what a game!!!!!!!!!! I'll have pictures on my site later. (Link TBA)
I went the same way you went, back to south Grand Prairie, took time to stop and get gas and was still home in about 50 minutes. Nothing's changed with the traffic. The people building the tollroad extension up to PHP are making a career of this one project. It still looks the same as it did last fall after the MLS Cup.
nailed it right there...either chill out with friends, have a brew or sit in traffic...looks like a no-brainer to me....by the time I left so had the traffic....
Anyone else notice the cops having to stand out and wave traffic through at the non-functioning stop light next to the Wal-Mart on El Dorado? On the way home they were sitting down, taking a brake and cars just kept flying through without stopping for cross traffic so they had to get back up.
my beef is with the way the lots are released. no offense to free parkers but we still buy the damn gold pass and for what? to watch every tom, dick and harry cruise past. We were combo parking. That's when you tailgate your way out of the parking lot.
Maybe the Fort Worth Police can be hired for the next home match. I have never had an easier time getting out of a large even than the NASCAR race last April. Smooth traffic flow the whole time, and with about 150,000 more people too.
No. El Dorado is where cars fall off the edge of the earth and sea monsters eat careless pedestrians.
Traffic was bad. I had to stand in line 10 min for a beer..... and there were only 4 people in front of me. Jackass concessions. Oh wait, ya'll are talking about cars......
Yeah, only losers sit in post-game traffic ... all the cool kids hang with the Inferno at the post-game tailgate at the Dr. Pepper pavilion
Anyone remember the Ruiz bicycle kick in the 2nd half? The shot was crap, but i got a great photo of it http://www.geocities.com/abrock123/wallpaper.html bottom of the page on the right hand side.
