Hi,im coming to the USA on April 15th 2007 for a month. I will be visiting New York,Miami and LA

I would love it if I could experience amature football(soccer) and im just wondering if anyone on here knows of any groups or teams that would be able to help me out. Im not talking highest level, just local friendly leagues and matches.
I play amature sunday league football here in England, so being able to do the same in the states would be a brilliant experience.
Im also planning on visiting some MLS game or games if i get chance(redbulls looks likely) so if theres some people who have regular days out to go watch them then that would be helpful to know too.
    Here are my dates
    April 15th(after3pm) - April 22nd.....New York
    April 23rd(after1pm) - May1st........Miami
    May 2nd(after3pm) - May11th.......Los Angeles

Il also be staying in NewYork on the 13th of May

So if anyone can help me out id be really grateful, I play mainly as a midfielder but il play anywere you want me too, except goal becaus eim rubbish there! haha

    Thanks
    Jack:)

There are a number of amature leages that I'm aware of in Los Angeles, but you need to be a registered player in order to get into a game. A partial list includes:

http://eteamz.active.com/olympicsl/index.cfm? (former MLS players have been know to play in this leage)

    http://www.sbpsl.com/

    http://www.laparks.org/dos/sports/soccer.htm

    http://www.lapremierleague.com/

Another site with good information (though not complete) about soccer in Los Angeles is:

http://www.objectivo.com/classifieds-home.php (also be sure to click on the 'directories' tab for more leage and team info).

another weekly pick-up game I'm aware of (that is open to anyone) is a game at Palos Verdes Intermediate School. Info for that game can be found at: www.pvsports.com - go to the coaches forum and check the discussion threads there for more details. I think games are Saturdays at 1pm.

Hope that helps and enjoy your trip.

too bad you won't be around DC
a fun MLS experience and tons of pickup.
For your New York stay you should post on the New York Red Bulls board, someone will eventually help you out.
