    No flames, no trolls

    You know the drill.

    Dammit Troy.

BTW, I'm pissed off, so I've got a very short leash. Basically, if I say it's trolling or flaming, it is. Everyone should consider themselves having received the warning before the yellow or red card.

Troy with a howler ...... an absolute howler that he gave up. Soehn ........ stop with the 3 dmids. Please. Seriously. Enough. Simms, Carroll and Olsen cannot play wing.

With the exception of the goal, Perkins made two fantastic saves.

That was bad, but it wasn't Rimandoesque. Driven, rising ball just after it started raining. But Perkins has to make that play. This wasn't a meaningless June game in MLS. He HAS to make that play.

DC played well otherwise. Going to be the best team in MLS this year, I think.

Harsh, harsh lesson on the injustice of football. United was worth extra-time over the two legs, but one mistake was the difference.

I would like to thank your club for your performance against Chivas and in the general competition. You made MLS proud.

    5-0, 3-2, 2-1.... it doesn't matter... it still f'n hurts all the f'n same....

Troy had some great saves today... but one of the easiest ones, he let in...

F'K this is so f'n depressing.

perkins blew that...need much better than that from him, that was really stupid. Just punch it away if you can't hold onto it.

Let's hope Troy and the team can move past that mistake. Just knock it down Troy and pick up the garbage. You should know better than try to handle a wet ball from distance.

As for the 3 d-mids, I agree to a point. While we didn't get much offensively from Simms or Olsen on the wings, we did get good defensive performances and that is why DeRoux was subbed out. He simply wasn't giving Namoff any defensive support and the field was really starting to tilt to the left.

That being said, I think United did all of us proud and proved that an MLS team can go into Mexico and play well. First half was great, second half was all about conditioning. They had it, we didn't.

i take back my ERPEN SUCKS comment, he actually played very very good in the second half. Made up for his first half. I was impressed by our play but im pretty sure the super humongo field had something to do with it... Fred looked OK in his debut... Would have been a great game from perkins bar that awful goal. all ihave to say now is lookout MLS

What a heartbreaker. Soft one let in by Troy, I just hope people don't forget he made 2 or 3 great saves that easily could have gone in and no one would have blamed the keeper. We really just need some skillful players on the wing. Chivas knew we couldn't hurt them wide and ganged up on emilio and gomez in the middle.

Take heart, your team represented you and the nation well.

Good luck in the snow Saturday.

Yeah Perkins has to make that play. No question about it. Still, maybe I have to see it again, but my impression was that 90% of the time that ball deflect over the goal. Maybe I'm wrong, just my initial impression.

I heard a lot of talk on this forum about a good player name Fred.....I heard his name like once or twice. He wasn't very good from what I saw.

You can't blame Perkins for the loss because he did save several close ones.
