    I'm afraid I can!

These are British troops.. not Americans. The British parliament Britain has been critical of the position at Guantanamo Bay for a long time and tried for a long period to have everyone there either tried, (if the evidence permitted), or freed. When the British detainees were sent back to the UK they were released within 24 hours.

FFS, even Blair has made public statements, (albeit rather 'coded' ones), as well as many unnatributed ones, (according to press reports), critical of the position there as has Peter Hain and Lord Goldsmith, the attorney general.

However, Americans are decrying the actions almost as loud as the Brits.

The real isue here, (apart from the latest 'crisis' that you've managed to construct for yourself), is 'who runs Iran'? Is it a democratoc country where the rule of law and the interests of the majority are paramount or is it a banana republic where extremist forces can ride roughshod over the population, creating trouble where they see fit, REGARDLESS of how many problems they make for the Iranian people?

One day a man described as a minister says the girl is going to be released - the next day soemone else says she's not. I mean, wtf's going on? Who's in charge of the country? Or is it just the people with the biggest mouths and the biggest guns that control everything.

Hey! I haven't got a problem with Americans per se. The decisions made by the supreme court seem fairly clear.

I'm just saying it's a bit bloody unfair... that's all.

I wouldn’t call that a demand , its more like asking for the British to explain their actions . A demand would be more like Iran asking the US to free the 5 diplomats that were captured by the US forces .

I thinks Fox news is just trying to take advantage of this opportunity so that they can gain a little support for a war against Iran ( if there is one ) . They were hitting the drums before the Iraq war and I consider them the media leader for convincing an attack on Iraq. After all Fox news is the propaganda mouth piece of neo-cons. To copy Ted kuple and his Night Line hostage crises is just pathetic, I would even consider it disrespectful to the 1979 hostages.

Why? Because it's only 15 hostages this time? Bad Iranians, you should have kidnapped more on your fishing trip......

I don’t watch Fox news to get my news , I watch it because I am amazed how biased they every time I watch it , it never gets old . Another guy I watch some times for the same reason is Glen Beck on CNN . By watching these shows I get a real understanding why I some members post the things they do on this forum .

I only wish we Americans had the same unrestricted access to information that Iranians enjoy.

For the record, most members here don't get their news from either source and likely feel just as amazed as you when they waste of a few minutes of their lives exercising their morbid curiosity.

Iran invented fabricating GPS records as evidence. I'm surprised you didn't know.

I like to personally see the evidence , they talk about it but we don’t get to see it . I consider this evidence as good as Saddam having WMD’s or Bush accusing saddam of getting chemical weapons to Niger or the US and the Capitan of the USS Vincent claiming they were not in Iranian waters when he murdered 300 innocent Iranians ( which turned out to be false , they were in fact in Iranian waters) .

By your logic then every person in prison right now is held at gunpoint .

The fact is that yesterday the Iranian FM said Iran could be wrong and another fact is that this wasn’t covered well in the media. A high official from the Islamic Republic admits they could be wrong and people should recognize that , people make mistakes . But there still needs to be an investigation into if Iran was wrong or right because he could have been just saying that because of international pressure . There are a lot of different fractions in Iran , some would like to see the hostages sent back today even if Iran’s claims were right because of the international community and Manoucher Mottake ( Iranian FM) is one of them .

Last I heard from Iranian TV they are still considering releasing the female Brit ASAP. Part of the reason of why Iran may have backed away from allowing the British consulate to meet with the detainees is because Iran offered an olive branch to Great Britain yesterday and the respond by Great Britain was not good towards Iran.

I already did mention them .

When I went to Iran I was amazed of how many satellite dishes were on each roof top . Iranians get more fair and balanced news than Americans because most Iranian households have at least one satellite dish and each of them has 200 + channels , mostly from Europe , I could even watch Fox News in Iran!!!

Can't we exchange the sailors for a promise of no more "Iran invented..." jokes? ;)
