I'm not sure if this has been posted before but I emailed Setanta directly because I was irritated with the thought of having to get DirectTV or ITVN, or Setanta Broadband in order to get quality football action. So I decided to email and ask if there was a way to get Setanta via my cable company (Charter). I had heard some rumors that Setanta had signed an exclusivity contract with DirectTV so i was expecting to receive a generic email back stating that i was out of luck. Instead i was told that there is no exclusivity contract and that if enough people were to request Setanta via their cable company that it could become a reality. So I suggest those of you who are wanting to get Setanta, and are already a cable subscriber, get in touch with your cable company and request Setanta and see what happens. Here is the link that the Setanta representative provided me that would also contact my cable company requesting the channel: http://na.setanta.tv/na_index.htm
The Epltalk podcast at EPLtalk.com relates in an interview with a Setanta executive that they are negotiating with Comcast Chcago and other Comcast companies to carry Setanta Sports.
i have been writing to time warner cable nyc requesting setanta for a good year now and have gotten the same response over and over again = that twc has no information or plans to add setanta at this time. don't see twc adding this channel when we don't even have the nfl network, espn2 HD, espn deportes or gol tv. hopefully verizon fios tv comes to manhattan soon cause we can't get no satellite in the city....
