There should be a clause in his contract that he must snort the touchline, or make some other overt drug reference in celebration for one out of every five goals he scores... if this occurs, he'll get like, a fruit basket or something.
Fowler's agent George Scott doubted the veracity of Nicol's claims, however, saying: "I don't think [New England] could afford him anyway. If he was to think about moving, Qatar or Dubai could be an option." Ironic that he makes a miss statement here... He implies the Revs can't afford him, the same team who is owned by an individual who once considered buying the whole Liverpool team. Very amusing.
He'll sneeze little black plastic pellets for the rest of the game.....greatness. As for what Fowler's agent said, it doesn't really conflict too much with what Nicol stated. He freely admitted that they were very far apart in terms of salary. Nicol made it seem like the odds of Fowler coming were way below 50/50.
I think he's negotiating via the newspapers. This is the large downside of MLS/AEG touting the $50M a year number for Beckham. They are never going to be able to sign another DP because no one will accept reasonable terms. More and more appropriate that the call it the Beckham rule. Because he's the only one who will have been signed under it at this rate.
"Forever? Forever ever? Forever ever?" Euro agents just need to realize this isn't going to be another NASL situation their original bosses used to tell tales about, then the deals will return to reasonable levels.
Beckham in line for reality show -- Variety.com "The second Victoria and David step foot on U.S. soil, the press is going to go crazy," said one TV industry insider. "It's a bit of a flyer, but if they hit it right, there's a built-in machine" to promote the show. Update: it's a done deal. It's going to be a very interesting season for MLS...
"San Jose State would keep revenue from its events, the Earthquakes would keep revenue from their events and the two would split revenue from additional events such as concerts." Wolff agrees to outline of deal for SJ facility--Alameda Times-Star Is this the first time that any sort of revenue sharing agreement related to the stadium has been printed? By the way... I'm still not watching reality TV.
Just don't tell Claudio Reyna this...oops, did I just open Pandora's box? And who is she anyway? And why is she so easy to open all the time? And why or why is she such a mainstay on Bigsoccer?
