Thing is, people that saw him play with Leverkusen three years ago say he was awful but maybe he's just a late-bloomer.

Just read in shock that der Tafelmann died last saturday.

He was an institution at Hannover 96, was part of our tradition and did his job on every game in the Niedersachsenstadion. Rest in peace!

Yep! It's good to be a 96 fan right now and I think we deserve this.

Btw, after reading that Voronin got a four year contract @ Liverpool and Hertha's Samba is also staring in the PL it's not that hard for me to believe anymore that Tottenham is willing to pay 2.000.000€ for Yankov.

I really really hope that he stays but it doesn't look too good.

Seems like Zuraw will be fit against Dortmund after all after getting more than 60 injections for his back from Dr Müller-Wohlfahrt.

Btw, nice to see the local press not hyping Jan Rosenthal. He's only been on the cover of the paper NEUE PRESSE three times of the last four days...

Because I know a subscriber that gave me their passwort to read the e-paper.
If I knew someone that gave me their passwort for the HAZ I'd gladly jump ship.

Will Super-Dieter serve three points tomorrow?

Hehe. Actually the Rosenthal hype and the Hecking praising right now seem to be on the same level.

Maybe it is a good decision to not start Rosenthal today.

I'm in the stadium again today. I'm now sure that I'm not the reason they never won when I was there after I watched the win against Duisburg live, but my sister's last win was back in the 2. Bundesliga I think so that makes me kinda nervous about this game.

Well, the BVB official site keeps going on and on about how BVB have not lost in Hannover in 36 years.

They kept harping on how we'd never lost to Mainz in the Bundesliga. We lost.

They kept harping on how we'd never lost to Hertha at home since their return to the Bundesliga. We lost.

They kept harping on how we had not lost in Hamburg in nine years. We lost.

So, if the "jinx" is real, you guys will get three points today.

Ha, I'm kinda lost my voice in the stadium today.

    It was beautiful.
I can't even remember when I saw them score 4 goals the last time, must have been during the record-setting 2. Bundesliga season.

Those two goals in the end still make me kinda mad. I hope those don't make us miss a UEFA cup berth in the end.
How can that happen to a Bundesliga team, they looked like a youth squad there. At least it's something for Hecking to keep them grounded.
I'm also kinda glad that Rosenthal didn't have a strong game, the hype was becoming too much imo. He's not all that yet.

OMG, Valdez, who would have thought that things could go even more horrible for him.

Will be an important match at Frankfurt next weekend. It'll show whether 96 will be going on taking a smell at the international ranks or whether they'll end up in the no man's land of the table.

Tarnat is doubtfull for tomorrow's game.
Hecking will either let young Halfar play who broke his nose in Nuremberg or Huszti will play LB.
Hanno Balitsch is suspended (5 yellows).

    Should be interesting.

Anyone insterested in Hashemian? I doubt he has a future in Hannover.

96 extended Bergantin Vinivius's contract till june 2010. Good news, he clearly showed much improvement this season and is a important for team not only because of that but also because of his sunny character.

BVB might be. But it would have to be very cheap or free. I get the feeling we're going to off-load Matthew Amoah and possibly Ebi Smolarek after the season.

Amoah because he sucks. Smolarek because I get the feeling our Managing Director, Watzke, is trying to get rid of everything either before his time or that "smells of Bert van Marwijk"........

Oops. That was TMI, wasn't it??

Two years ago, I actually expected a lot more of that guy. This season he does look like the guy I wanted Dortmund to try to sign. Good deal for you guys!! :)

Vinicius is more than a decent centerback now, good move by the 96er.
