According to bigapplesoccer.com, Agustin Delgado is "IN" with the Red Bulls.

How come no one else has heard this?

    obviously a typo

No, I'm sorry. A "typo" is if they called him Melgado. This is very specific and even mentions what team he's coming from.

It might be a "mistake" or "wishful thinking," but it's not a typo.

    But is it true?

Supposed to have been a done deal. All agreed except authorities who refused to rescind his suspension. So, no go. Big problem. Everyone thought it was going to happen and that Delgado was the correct fit for this team. Time for a paradigm shift. Won't happen tomorrow. Too many eggs in this basket.

I don't understand what point you are trying to prove. Delgado has a worldwide suspension so he will not be signed. This is either a mistake or bigapplesoccer just jumped the gun and haven't fixed the mistake. Are you just trying to say its not a typo but just a mistake? Who cares? Whats the differernce? The point is he is not coming here.

I doubt, but if is true, I think will be OK for one year... We need a striker...

My suspicion is that it's just a mistake. RB had Delgado until the suspension was upheld, and bigapplesoccer indeed jumped the gun on this one.

Nice job spotting it, though, wandering.

it was on another thread as well.... he was a done deal, all ready to go and FIFA upheld his year-long suspension. the big apple announcement wasn't a mistake, nor was it a typo, but red bulls got screwed again (that is, if you think delgado was good for the team, which bruce obviously did). i don't know the particulars of the fight he was in, nor do i know enough about him, but i'd like to think that bruce knows what he is doing and thought delgado would add something to the team - a forward in particular. so now we're back to no signing and no f-f.

There's another mistake besides. Delgado wasn't blaying for Barcelona of Guyaquil-- he was playing for Liga of Quito. Another thing to call the report into question.

I found the fight on You Tube, it is pretty horrific. It makes the Palace of Auburn Hills look like a slap fight.

Excuse me. When something is "put to bed" earlier in the week and then a new article comes out on February 25th saying Delgado is "in" with the Red Bulls, then there is (or was) the possibility that the story wasn't as in "bed" as we might have originally thought.

In other words, I've been paying attention just fine. This was new information.

Turned out to be new "bad" information. Bigapplesoccer.com removed his name from the "in" list -- therefore, it was an error on their part.

    Now it's back in bed.

    Got it?

WSoccerdog... What sublicon was trying to say is that this same bigapplesoccer.com booboo re: Delgado being in was mentionned on another thread in the RBNY boards...a day earlier.. that is what he was referring to you not paying attention...

So new, in fact, that it was already being discussed in another thread before you posted. I wouldn't care, except people keep making double posts about information that has already been freshly posted, or discussed in another thread.

As I said, covered, discussed, put to bed. Delgado isn't coming. Lets all breathe a sigh of relief.

Hopefully, I'll have the last word on this.

It was an unfortunate mistake on our (BigAppleSoccer's) part. It was supposed to be edited out before it was posted and it wasn't.

As Gene Rayburn used to say, "I think we have the definitive answer."

    OK, let's move on.
