Ok, Ssnce Guzan is ineligible, Akpan is calimanu's first pick, which is the makeup pick from the last round. That means that the current pick which came after lurking is still ongoing. There's 11 hours on the clock for that one. (What I'm saying is that his selection doesn't stop the time limit since it was a makeup) Oh, and everyone needs to check this thread before you pick: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=461207

and again if you don't want to read through it looking for a player, do a Ctrl+F and type the players name in.
FYI - Seitz should be considered the 1st pick in the 16th round. I guess the question is how does Calmanu skipped pick factor in.
True, but not part of the 15th round. The 182nd pick is part of the 15th round however. Either that isnt a list of the 15th round picks, as you denoted, or it shouldn't be in the list. Nitpicking is fun.
Someone want to PM me a list of the top three GK's. I have to jump off now, but will be back in a couple of hours. I will take one of the top 3 for CaliManU since he selected Guzan and then we can move on. It is a backup GK....it is not like it is going to make or break his team.
Uh, it's his draft. You will not be picking for him. If he gets skipped again, then so be it. Last year, Appoo had the final three selections due to missing picks. Relax.
I just want to take this time to apologize. Right now is mid-term time at my college and I've been a little distracted. On top of this, one of my fellow classmates died last week. I go to a small D3 school in So. Cal. so it was very hard for myself as well as my school. Once again, I'm sorry.
GunnersBT/Short Corner selects Peter Philipakos, M/F, on trial with a team near you. http://www.yanks-abroad.com/images/articles/000278.jpg
Cali.....no need to apologize about anything. This is all just for fun (man we all have a sick and twisted view of fun). With re: to Philipakos, we considered him for our last pick (we also considered Seitz). It was a little too early for him then (with Plotkin and others still on the board), but this round he is pretty good value. I think he makes an MLS squad and performs well. The question is whether he is the next John Thorrington/Gus Kartes or the next Taylor Twellman. It really is so hard to compare the young yanks abroad (like K. Hill, Davies, White, Weaver, Tally Hall) to the people who play generally in MLS. MLS doesn't get it right a lot of the times .....so why would we?
In my view, Philipakos has nothing to do with either Thorrington or Twellman. The latter two players were top US prospects who performed tremendously at the 1999 U-20 World Cup. After going to Europe, Twellman came back home pretty quickly, while Thorrington was a star for Huddersfield until he developed chronic leg injuries, and he has been sidelined almost constantly ever since. Philipakos, by contrast, never did anything to stand out. In three college seasons, he managed a good but not exceptional total of 15 goals and 9 assists in 60 games. The guy who inherited his #10 jersey at American U. was Shawn Kuykendall, who put up better offensive numbers and still ended up getting cut from DC's developmental roster. Apart from having been in Europe, Philipakos doesn't seem more impressive than a lot of other longshot picks still out there.
Sean and Geneva select: Kevin Novak, defender, Real Salt Lake position: D height: 5-8 weight: 150 Birthdate: September 01, 1982 Hometown: Huntington Beach, CA Kevin played in 26 games last season and started 25 of them. He was some what of a surprise due to how little he palyed in his rookie year, but when he came into the team he was a real force. When people looked at RSL's defense they were giving the credit to Forko, but they were overlooking Novak's performances as he was getting the job done quietly. Was really solid last season and should be a first choice starter for RSL this year. He will deputise for Albright in our team, and can also play centre back.
Wow, what a bunch of crappy players. The way I see it, why bother taking someone who you know is crap now, when you can take a rookie who possibly will break out? There's no way Chris Leitch is going to have an amazing year. I like the picks of John, Ianni, and Seitz among the recent ones, though.
