big soccer youth league: Youth League Team Count (updated Feb 16th BattalionFC (72275) Depew Village FC (226227) DCUnited (222305) RiverHawks (70891) Hoover Vacuum Keeners (225968) Daverules FC (226324) RustyTrombones (8538) real new york (225545) that's 7 teams so far. we can get up to 16. Some further answers from HT-Thomas regarding the new youth league.
The more I think about the new youth system the more I think that its not going to make that big of a difference in the quality of youth pulls. I get the feeling that lots of people suddenly believe that all of their youth pulls are going to be the next NT superstar. But I believe in reality most teams will still be stuck with crap with the occasional trainable/sellable player. I don't think the HT's will allow too many youths to develop that far or else the market will be flooded with 18-19 excellents in a few seasons. But then again, maybe thats just the pessimist coming out in me. Time for a few more drinks.
anyone care to step up and "kuhnscoot" this thing, since he's not joining our new youth setup. I believe you have to be a HT supporter to setup the largest league possible, 14 teams I think.
Yes you have to be a supporter, but the largest league is 16. Wow, so now kuhnscoot has 2 definitions? I'm gonna have to update the wikipedia page.
no its all yet to be revealed...we'll keep this thread running as the info comes out. I'm sure stogey will figure out how to demote his 90K TSI IM onto the youth squad to win the thing...
I'd like to join the BS youth league too, if everything is gonna be as I expect (i.e., that one can also have a new youth team without investing too much in the beginning).
Ahhh - to be rich and run both . . . 2/21/2007 The move to the new youth system The new youth system is nearing launch and one of the things most commonly asked is how the new system will replace the old, and if managers can switch between the two. We have decided to not force users to decide this immediately. You can choose to: - stay with the old system, - jump over to the new one, or - run (and pay for) both systems at the same time if you want. However, you will only be able to recruit a youth player from ONE of the systems each week. This means it will be expensive to keep your options open, but you will at least have the chance. In game world terms, this solution is rather logical. Your scouts will either pick a talent for your own youth academy, or a "finished product" for your senior team. The move to the new system will also be more gradual and less dramatic for servers and the global economy this way. We may decide to phase out the option to keep dual systems in the future, but it will at least stay for the first season.
I'm in, I think...has there been a more definite answer on the effect of old youth team level? I'm maxed at 10k, but if there is a possibility they are going to freeze the level, then I need to start investing more--and I won't switch until I'm significantly higher. I'm not sure I'm understanding all of this though, I'm also not sure there is enough information out to make it understandable.
