It's amazing that that's actually the best looking picture of Helen Thomas that could be produced.

I really hope something improves this season, because it feels like things just keep getting worse and worse........

GK-Andy Gruenebaum (Jon Busch 60); D-Brandon Moss (Chris Leitch 60), D-Rusty Pierce (Ezra Hendrickson 60), D-Ivan Becerra (Marcos Gonzalez 60), D-Leonard Griffin (Ryan Junge 60); M-Aaron Chandler (Jacob Thomas 60), M-Teddy Niziolek (Danny O'Rourke 60), M-Jose Retiz (Duncan Oughton 60), M-Ned Grabavoy (Danny Szetela 30) (Eddie Gaven 60), M-Marc Burch (Joseph Ngwenya 60); Tonci Skroce (Kei Kamara 60).

So, maybe I've been out of it, but who are Skroce, Junge, Griffin and Niziolek?

Skroce, Junge and Niziolek are supplemental picks. Griffin is a 25-year old former UCLA defender.

Those aren't the real names... the real names are McBride, Henri, Davids and Casey. Those are just a smoke screen so that other teams don't know that we are REALLY CLOSE to siigning a big name player;) I will however agree that Gruenebaum is a BIG NAME or at least a LONG NAME...does that count?

Someone here posted a link to a preseason schedule that had Crew playing KC today but time says "TBA". Is this game still happening today?

Can anybody tell me if Ben Hunter is in camp? I know he had been in England trying out there since the draft so I'm curious if he's in camp.

Interesting that O'Rourke, Oughten and Szetela were on the pitch at the same time. With so many defensive midfielders in the mix, we really need to hold the ball up front while these fellers catch the late train.

Whose job is that? Garey? Garey's a good player but I don't really think this is his best skill.

    Herron is a little guy.

    We need a target forward.

Judging by the lineups released by the Crew it appears he is not here, although they have yet to release a lineup so the only way we know is by visiting Fire and DC web sites so far. If they can't get a game recap right in the FO or even have the courtesy to send one out then why would we expect them to get anything else right.

Speaking of missing, when will Heydude be playing again? Didn't he get injured before Busch last season?

Teddy Niziolek played at Seton Hall, decent player. Midfielder who did well going forward and did a good job filling in defensively, too.

Bill has a reference to it in another thread, but MLS had the results of the Fitz match up.

We won 2-1. Goals from Oughton (of all people) and Chandler.

I must admit, I am encourged that after that first half against DC our defense has seemed to pull it together the past 2 1/2 games.

Of course this just brought more insight to the injury bug...

    Seems nobody is immune.
