#1 topic to start. No Dema Kovalenko this Saturday. He is suspended due to the nasty tackle that broke the Burn's Ronnie O'Brien's Fibula at Dragon Stadium.

But Petke makes his return as a DC crapper.

    INJURIES

MetroStars: - OUT: D Chris Leitch (R ankle sprain), F Jaime Moreno (lower back strain).

D.C. United: - OUT: D Milton Reyes (L torn ACL), M/F Devin Barclay (L foot stress fracture); PROBABLE: D Galin Ivanov (abdominal hernia surgery), M Marco Etcheverry (L knee meniscus strain/tear), D Mike Petke (R hamstring strain).

    Possible Metros lineup:

    ..............Mathis......Wolyniec.............
    .....................Guevara.....................
    ..............Lisi...............Clark............
    .....................Williams....................
    ...Digi.......Pope.......Jolley.....Ziadie....
    .....................Howard.....................

    Maybe this for DC:

    .............Stoitchkov....Quaranta............
    .......................Stewart.......................
    ..Convey...Alegria......Etcheverry....Olsen..
    .........Prideaux....Nelsen....Petke............
    ......................Rimando.......................

Again on defense, I think our biggest concern will be Olsen and Convey on the wings and when Stewart makes runs out of the center to the flanks.

On offense, I think Guevara should have a field day. Hudson has been playing without a true defensive Mid. this is going to give Amado time and space.

I'll predict that Guevara scores his first Metros goal this week.

I hope they know how to swim. The weather report isn't good. NY1 says there will be scattered showers and WCBS NewsRadio 88 says there may even be a thunderstorm.

And security doesn't let umbrellas in. Brilliant.

I may actually be able to come down for this game, so I'm pretty psyched. Does anyone know where D.C. plays Kovalenko, and how they'll line up without him?

He lines up at LB (leg breaker) when Stiotchkov is out on suspension.

Well, I know what the biggest thing everybody is missing out on about this match - the Atlantic Cup implications. Metros want to get that prestigious title this season at all costs and DC will surely be out to prove that they deserve it....gee, is there any way they can take it with them on road games and display it at the opposing team's field before the opening whistle? That sure would make me jealous.....lol

    Forget the Atlantic Cup.

Let's get to the point, our offense is really coming together and the loss of Milton Reyes is way too big for DC on defense. Guevara's had another week to hang with the team and the Honduran situation is out of the way. The Metros could romp. The only question is how much Clint or Eddie will play after Thursday's Mexico game.

How about we win the MLS Cup, the US Open Cup, the Supporter's Shield and the Atlantic Cup?

You blasphemous heathen sinners! Don't you know how important the Atlantic Cup and the Brimstone Cup are in professional football? I mean these are prestigious cup titles that are only available to certain team "derbys". Imagine the glory, the passion, the fulfillment of every player's dreams to capture these titles? And if you believe that, I have some beach front, ocean side property in Arkansas that I'd like to sell ya.....

I don't see Man Utd & Man City play for a little cup when they have their derby now do we? I don't see the Jets & the Giants playing for a little trophy when it's the regular season on the line.

So basically the Atlantic Cup can go back to the woodshed and collect dust. Let the Burn & Fire keep their Brimstone Cup since it don't mean anything to us.

The only thing I care about is the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup & The MLS Cup. A true Double not a dinky Cracker Jack Prize.

Heathen, sinner! You're soccer boots will rot in immortal shame because of yer vile words against the greatest prizes in all professional football! Surely, the Atlantic Cup is the apple of every footballer's eye - whether it be rimando, moreno, petke, beckham, ronaldo, or henry they all want it no matter what they say to the press...so now surely you are convinced! If not, demon be gone!

So may god help me when I say this.

MAY THE ATLANTIC CUP SINK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE ATLANTIC OCEAN! MAY THAT UGLY PIECE OF SILVER FOREVER STOP SHINNING IN THE LIGHT OF A BRIGHT LIGHTBLUB ON THE TOP OF A STADIUM ROOF!

I think that would look better as the US Open Cup Trophy than that rediculos glass cup.
