I don't think he was making a joke. PB United is just the Barry Bonds of BigSoccer Hattrick - they MUST be juicing! :D

Don't get discouraged. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Just play the game the way you want to.
You get better fairly quickly, too. May will be 2 years for me. In other words, don't worry about big losses to teams that are, or have been, in divisions higher than yours (or teams that have been in the same division for 5 years).

Follow the advice here, and your team will be much better faster than you realize.

How are you gonna set up the knockout rounds?

top 2 from each group. I'm gonna seed the teams based on points, then GD, then goals for, goals against, then shutouts. So like the group winners will all be seeded 1-4, and the second place teams will be 5-8. I'll also adjust in case 2 teams from the same group play in the knockout round.

Any other board and I swear I'd resign. The Fire guys are pretty easy and don't really bitch much. Have you ever seen the DC forum? They have some excellent posters, but man the bottom 10% drags that place into the depths of hell.

On the Red Bulls board I found some tool making a joke about Italians, something about hair and hand talking. ;)

That place is out of control! :D

As a Crew fan, I actively avoid the Fire, United, and RB forums.

I'm so glad I just mod Fifa and Tournaments. Nice and quiet most of the time, with the occasional major explosion.

Good god man!!! Come to where civilized people communicate. :D

BTW, (I am serious here) FC Dallas needs a regular mod from what I hear. The one Mod we have isn't around too much since El Jefe relinquished his duties.

I'm not too sure the Dallas fans would want a Chicago Fire fan as their moderator!

    manu chao 0-5 Springfield Isotopes
    Match ID:111531796

This game I didn't get around to setting up my line-up, and 9 of my starters from Sundays game played during the friendly. Please deduct the correct amount of points from my score. Sorry about that.

So that would make this match a 5-5 draw (4 starters allowed, 9 played, 9-4=5), both teams will get 1 point and it will be listed as a PKL for both teams.

Instead of taking away goals this season I'm adding the goals to the team that didn't offend.

And the BS Cup mercifully comes to a close for Northwood FC. Their swan song was a 5-0 pounding by Henderson United at home.

I'll have the draw for the quarters up once the Smurfs-Blur match ends.

we've run into a double connundrum, the 8th seeded manu chao can not play the 1 seed as they came from the same group. Same with the 6th seeded Depew Village. I'm working on the switch now, hold on. And manu chao can't play the 2 seed either as they played each other in cross over games.

ok I had to do some reshuffling of the seeds due to the problems I listed above.

    Here are the quarterfinal matches
    1. Springfield Isotopes of Boston - 8. Roslindale FC
    4. Hoboken SC - 5. Henderson United
    3. FC Tucson - 6. Depew Village FC
    2. The Smurfs FC - 7. manu chao

Due to the issue manu chao playing both Springfield Isotopes and FC Tucson, I had to move things around to avoid them from playing a third game against each other. I also had to move The Smurfs to keep them from playing group mate Depew Village.
