Does anyone know what section the diehard Mexican fans are sitting? Ticketmaster won't let me pick the section, I guess I can try to call the box office.. tickets are going fast, esp the endlines and sidelines, there are many singles left but not like pairs or more. I just don't want to be the only one wearing red in the sea of greens. I also don't want to smell burritos all day.

I'm fairly new in town ( 6 months) and have 3 girls and a wife. The youngest is 3 months so needless to say we haven't been out much. What I will do is after my wife gets home from work tomorrow I'll drive by Westgate. I'll see whats open and run inside to see what the atmosphere is and post it tomorrow night.
I'll also get ahold of someone about the parking/tailgating situation.

    Any suggestions?

Ok so we are planning on meeting a few hours before kick off at the grass area?

For all of you who have been to the stadium before, how big is this grass area?

I'm definitely planning on at least a few hours of tailgating. I'm gonna bring my smoker and hopefully I'll have enough time to smoke a turkey.

What section of the lot is the grassy area in? What time can we arrive? Is there any way to get the word out to all the American faithful (Sam's Army, any local supporters' groups, etc) to ensure that we have a massive pre-game presence?

I know people in the past have complained about the fact that not everyone knows the cheers/songs, resulting in only a few people actually belting them out during the game. Maybe someone can print up a bunch of copies of them and hand them out at the tailgate so that we're one loud, unified group singing for the team. Just a thought.

Anyone know if the sams army section is full yet?

I havent seen the grass area up close but from the road it looks bigger than a soccer pitch.

AndSomeAreAngels.....we're all for that! We're looking for the ideal tailgate, with TONS of people. We found at the HDC this past weekend that there were lots of little groups spread out all over the place. Good times...but it'll be a lot more enthusiastic with a larger group!

Give us the time & location......we'll bring some grub & join you guys!

Anyone know how many tickets have been sold and how many of them are to Mexicans. If we get a half-full stadium or one dominated by the opponents, at home, against our biggest rival, that would be somehat shameful, but after the Denmark match drew 10,000, I wouldn't be surprised.

Get very used to the idea that the stadium will be both nearly full and at least 70-30 in favor of El Tri fans.

All the more reason to start tailgating early & get the excitement running through our veins! I saw somebody at the Denmark game with a sombrero stenciled completely over with the US flag. Awesome! I'm getting a couple & painting them.

Come on guys, let's show the boys our enthusiasm & support!!!

I think we should get into the parking lot and start singing/tailgating at least three hours before.

We should march into the stadium and get into the section at least an hour before for some pre match singing so we let our team know we are there while they warm up.
