    "Many of us"?

I'm still even with all but the old hands, for the most part, and I don't think I've ever put up an old-style divine rating.

(I have switched to old ratings just for kicks, though. )

I hadn't made my youth pull for the week until today.

The name? Marshall Rudolph. Unfortunately, he's only an 18yo passable scorer, so not too much of a Christmas gift. But a fun coincidence anyway.

pardon my lack of hattrick savvy, but how do we check the "old" ratings?? I'm kinda curious what I would've turned with my match this past weekend since it was amazing., but dont know how to check the old style- is it one of those I need supporter things?

Alls that you have to do is go to into preferences under the My Hattrick menu. THen you click on other preferences on the right and there should be a drop down menu for the style of ratings you'd like to see.

I have actually hit divine looking at the old ratings, hit divine at one of my defensive positions in a league game last season. But I wasn't expecting it to be in PM.

It's funny thinking back how much people were pissed off about the change, I know I was cause my ratings were finally starting to look respectable, meaning I was starting to pull solid, passable, etc in all my ratings areas, then it changed I was back to pulling wretched, poor, and weak, I was not happy. Now I don't even think twice.

Does anybody reckon it's worthwhile for me to convert my soon to be passable experience, passable leadership player into a trainer/coach, or would I be better off recruiting externally?

you should externally recruit a solid coach and/or wait for that guys experience to get to solid so you can make him a solid coach.

As I mentioned I have Redball Express of IV.27........

I have two easy matches in League the next two weeks, so i am considering a MOTS. I am playing my Starters and with MOTS I will pull a 240+ HS and a Formidable + midfield.

    What do you guys think?

If I put a WTM I will get AN Outstanding VL but lose Wing attack

Remind me again - what is the difference in HatStats where it is ok to PIC? I will likely hit the low 200s if I PIC and the next couple opponents I have after this week post in the 130s-150s. I think I would be more than ok if I PIC - especially after the first PIC. I am currently sitting at satisfied and have a solid coach so that should drop pretty slowly.

Ha, my opponent forgot to put his new signing into his lineup. On the off chance that he is able to keep his him until our next meeting, I'll be at home and coming off six straight PIC's.

i think they're always pretty high the first few weeks of every season, teams looking to buy to fill their teams, so there's just some more action as it is.. it has seemed a litlte high though, we'll see if it keeps up throughout the year though

Ah hell, I thought I had ten minutes before the game to make a switch to me line-up. Just bought a guy I needed for tonight and realized it was 15 minutes and I missed it by one damn minute. Overpaid slightly since I really wanted to win this one and now he watches from the stands.

The main consideration I take when deciding to PIC/Normal/MOTS is how I will be able to compete in the MF. If I can win MF with a PIC, a PIC it is. If I need a normal with banked TS to compete, then that is the attitude I take. I have not MOTS'd in a league/Cup match before Rd 14 of a season since my first season playing HT.

The other sector ratings I don't really take into consideration when making this decision. I just try to manipulate my lineup to match up as best as possible against what I expect to see from my opponents.

I'm about 18 Hatstats[7 stars] in MF[+50 Total Hatstats, 14 stars] and 3.5 Loddar points ahead of all the bot teams in VI.543

I'm a fairly safe PIC then, right?

I'm like a Poor [Low > V. Low] Midfield right now.

STARS ARE EVIL!!!! Don't rely on stars to determine whether you can compete in MF.

Use the ratings on the match page to determine if you can compete and remember a PIC will lower your MF rating by a sublevel or 2 at home and on the road.

If your opponents are pulling wretched MF's while you can pull Poor MF's then you should be fine with PIC's.

:D I know. I was just trying to give an idea of where I am in regards to the others in my division.

I hope I will be ok. I had a couple crap PIC losses last year that cost me the title.

i like to play the percentages when i decide.. a little math can help you out-
    1) put your "hatstats" and your opponent's "hatstats" in numberical form (i.e. poor low=10, wretched v.low=5

    2) divide your hatstats by the total (10/15) and that will give you a rough guess as to the % midfield you will get.

A lot of times, if I think I can safely get 60 per cent in MF, i'll PIC.. if I'm nervous about the game coming up AND I have a definite PIC game the next week, I'll Normal to get that extra boost.. especially if this guy is your mian competition for the title, no use risking it to save ts for an easy match in the next week
