It can be done - we've proven that.

Good luck with this fixture - should be great for the neutrals, and I agree with some of the sentiments on here - its a joke that this has to happen in the first knockout round, same as it did to us last season.

FIX!! FIX!! They couldn't fix it to be Chelsea cause they already did that in the group phase, so they did the next best thing.

    ....

Anyway seriously, I predict 0-0 at the Nou Camp, then 1-0 at Anfield.

What a tie this is im actually really happy with this one. We might as well get this one out of the way as we march on to the final in athens. This will an interesting match up for the players . Can't wait .....

First Arsenal in the FA Cup 3rd round, then Barca in the last 16. I guess someone wants us to work hard for our trophies this year...

Seriously, let's do this. We were underdogs the entire run in 05, then we fell flat on our faces as the favorites against Benfica last season. We always play our best once we've been written off, especially in Europe. In Rafa We Trust.

You think Gary Mac is available to take a penalty if we need it? :D

    Could we be any luckier?

You know, if we're going to go all the way again, we might as well show that we can beat the best and it doesn't get better than them at the moment.

If we can get a decent result at the Nou Camp and then come back and pull a classic Anfield night this could work in our favor.

Between Bayern playing Madrid and L'pool playing Barca it's going to be a craaaaaazy February/March.

    BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIING THEM ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The second leg at Anfield is huge. Even if we leave Barca down 3-1, we would have a shot. Oh, if we can get one goal in Spain...

Finishing second in the group was marvellous, nobody expected it. Pity that their excellent progress into the ko phase will end in defeat to liverpool.

Barca... well... it figures. This is the one potential matchup I had any serious trepidation about. At the very least, we'll be home for the second leg and that's a huge advantage. Match between the last two CL winners? Wow. If we could pull off the magical run of '05, who knows what we're capable of come March. My only concern is that we come out in that away leg looking like the sides who showed up in BIG matches this season against ManUre and the Arse.

you guys have nothing to worry about. close down ronaldinho and you pretty much closed 90% of their attack. you might need to pay close attention to who would be the ref for this match. that may be the only problem for you guys.

Barça it is. All of those you had a bring it on attitude have got their wish! Of course, the first leg is going to be everything. Some goals or a draw at the Nou Camp and I think we’ll go through. I am really excited about the draw as Barça is a really big club like LFC. I am sure we’ll be rated as the underdogs as Barça have a lot of big name players, but I feel the club with its squad of players will be able to challenge and push Barça. I think 1-1 at Nou Camp and 1-0 at Anfield! Barça is a big club and one that I have a lot of respect for but I do expect to see the next round.

In his interview 2 weeks ago, Eto'o said he should be back in 4 to 6 weeks time. Messi will return in Feb if the recovery goes well. Anyway good luck, Liverpool is an unpredictable team.

I guess you're right. But no one can tell exactly what will happen on the night. You see, the word is 'If'. If they don't, It'll be Liverpool's night. The big advantage for us is that we play away first.

I have faith in the gaffer. He knows what he's doing.
For me, Liverpool will go through to the next round.
