I know we had a torrent thread a little while ago and it was closed because Asta thought it might be redundant to have a torrents thread when we have the highlights/goals thread. but i want to give it another try. the reasoning is pretty simple; i'm looking for a torrent of the Barca vs America match (and any other future games not available on GOLtv), i don't know the result of the game, and there is no way i can enter the highlights/goals thread without finding out the result. if anyone knows where i can find a torrent to the game (krazbo? ), i'd really appreciate it. surely i'm not the only one in this situation, am i? if there are any objections, we can close this thread as well, end of dicussion (
this obviously needs to be its own thread, please consider the benefit before closing it. krazo and others do an amazing job posting highlights almost immediately after games in the highlights thread, so anyone looking for a torent and not wanting the result spoiled is basically out of luck. there are far less relavent threads out there why not let one with a clear long term benefit stay open. please.
you guys are right. edit: i shouldnt recommend other sites, but i will tell you guys where you can find torrents to a lot of games (not just barca) without seeing spoilers if you guys dont want to keep this thread.

Um, I'm definitely interested in this, cheers to the evil one for the "no spoilers" rule... does anyone have a quick FAQ on how to set this up? Maybe we can sticky the FAQ or a link in the first post? I'd like to see the whole match vs. America, and my DVR let me down.
I use uTorrent, which you can download for free from www.utorrent.com. Once you install that, just download the torrent file, open it up, and it'll automatically open in uTorrent, where you just wait for it to download. It's relatively self-explanatory. The speed depends on how many people are currently seeding their file, making it available for download, but a couple of days after a game, it should be relatively fast. Enjoy!
I luckily woke up on the couch and caught mine not recording the game when I had set it to record. I had to set it to record about 5 times for it to actually start recording (although it said it was recording in the menu). Do you have Dish or DirecTV? My original box was just replaced because it just stopped recording things altogether. I thought it was the drive inside going bad, but it started f-ing up again a couple of days ago on my new box.
Nope... I use to have Dish at my old place. That was back in those crazy, VCR-using days of the early '00s. Word to the wise: don't trust the DVR programming guide for live sporting events, set up the recording manually. I almost had a near-riot in my living room furing the WC final; we started watching the DVR copy about 30 minutes into the actual match (we had some BBQ'ing to finish up) and when the DVR reached the end of the allotted time slot, the recording ended abruptly and went straight to the live feed. Fortuantely, the live time was 1 - 1 in the first OT. If someone had scored a late winner in normal time, it would have cut straight to the celebrations. I would have been the victim of an Italian assasination in my own home.

The torrent won't work for me. Won't connect to the tracker. Also, the only one I've seen on mininova has no seeds. It figures that I'm able to get torrents to the games that leave me despondent, but can't find one for this game. [edit] Also, is anyone here on the Maxxed forums? I used to be registered there, but they went through that period where they stopped posting torrents, then I don't know what happened. I'm apparently no longer registered, and they are no longer taking registrations.
I got the torrent off the Rojadirecta website (by the way, ugliest website design EVER ... sorry, very good links to full games makes it worthwhile, but MY EYES). Maybe they have some different, working ones now?
