Mendez has made a impressive start but the last games weren't good... He has the potential but he MUST play better, he's very lucky that Väyrynen is injured because else he even could lose his place in the first team..
Hopefully he will get his form back and he will I think,you can see he's a very good player

 

i am not concerned, everyone had a spell where they did not live up to their abilities, like kone, farfan, everyone. but i am sure after the sending off, it will motivate Mendez more. And don't forget, before he got sent off, he provided the assist to the winning goal against ajax.

 

I hope so, but his last 3/4 matches weren't good... The strange thing is, without Cocu he played great and with Cocu worse
Next season Cocu will retire. Mendez always works hard, good shot, great crosses, strong, nice tackle. He's a player like V. Bommel

 

That is interesting that you said that. What is diffrent in the current formation with Cocu? What changed tatically? ARe they not communicating well?

Not a single midfielder and player diserved a 7. We played a shit match. Mendez was the best midfielder after Timmy Simons.
