What Mexican player, if any, might be a good draw?

    Perhaps Cuauhtémoc Blanco?

He's out. He just went to Qatar, he's one of the marquee players in the league and is making a butt-load of cash there.

    And?

There's nothing stopping him from playing again, and he'd certainly draw interest in the US.

    a list from another thread...

Roberto Carlos (did he re-sign, I don't think so)
    Clarence Seedorf
    Lillian Thuram
    Silvain Wiltord
    Patrick Viera (not likely)
    Cafu
    Frederick Ljunberg
    Henrick Larsson
Roy Makaay (but why is Roque Santa Cruz not playing so much)
    Michel Salgado

    after Juve go back up
Pavel Nedved (think that wouldn't fly in Chicago)
Alessandro Del Piero (dude would be a star, S-T-A-R, in NYC)

from Inter Milan's b-team (this is ridiculous)
    Alvaro Recoba
    Julio Cruz
    Walter Samuel
    Adriano

    Barca b-team
Giovanni Van Bronckhorst (you laugh, good friends with Claudio Reyna)
Javier Saviola (not this year, with their injuries)
    Presas Oleguer

    and whatever happened to
    Nelson Cuevas
    Roberto Acuna
    Costinha

I will fly anywhere and pay a lot of money to see him play. Greatest player of our era if not G.O.A.T. I sadly don't think he will be coming to the MLS, however.

Definately Nelson Cuevas. If he plays like he did in the last two World Cups, he'd be an amazing player for MLS.

Not that they would ever let him go but its fun to dream.

I could only imagine Blanco being signed by the Galaxy and playing against Chivas USA :D

That would be one of the more interesting moments in soccer history.

BTW he is on my DCU Fifa07 team and he kicks ass! How about it in real life Payne?

This is like the high-flying days of 1996!

I'd pick, purely on marketing, availability, washed-upness but still able to rock MLS, etc.

    1 Ronaldo
    2 Beckham
    3 Luis Figo
4 Batistuta (retired recently I think played in Qatar)
    5 Zidane (retired recently)
6 Jared Borgetti (is he still in Saudi)
    7 Del Piero (Serie B!)
    8 Patrick Kluivert
    9 Cafu
    10 Maldini

    Zidane to DC? No way.
    Borgetthi to Rapids :D
    Jose Fonseca to Revolution

Wow those trades would be insane.
