Antonio Valencia will be going to a second division team in Spain.

this pisses me off.... He is not a second category player...

he'd be better off playing in Mexico, Argentina or Brazil... just my 2 cents...

he joined a La Primera (second division) spanish team, but one that has a good chance to move up. it is just a loan move, but he is likely to be playing more regularly in this league, and that is very important detail to Ecuador's success in the WC as he is one of our top performers.

I have a feeling that both him and Caicedo are going to become great players in Europe. As for the goals, they will come in time. He's got a great outside kick. I wish them both lots of luck.

Even though the kid is playing very well for Wigan,I think this one gol is the thing he needed to raise his confedence and REALLY start playing the way he knows how.
This gol took a lot off his back,,,,now look for Tonito to start scoring more often.

Is Valencia looking to stay at Wigan full-time, or will he return to Villareal?

Fee already agreed and he seems happy here so hopefully he'll stay.

He's been injured for the last few weeks but is fit now. However, he probably wont play this weekend as David Cotterill who signed for us last month has been playing well and should start his first game for us.

so do u mean to say Valencia lost his starting place? or is it just to be on the safe side as he just recovered from his injury?

I think it is more being safe and just giving him some time to settle back into the team now his injury is OK, but the other players who have played instead of him while he's been injured have done very well.

He'll be back in the starting XI over the next few weeks i think,
