How cld Malaysia lose it with all their advantages

It remind me of their countless collaspe including their most recent at the Tiger Cup semi-final with 3-1 lead & still go on to lose it 5-3

Their media will be out for 'blood' soon or later based on this Merdeka Cup

    hmmm.. weird.
Because Before USA war over Iraq, our Olympic team banned for playing
because the Asian Olympic President was Kuwaiti, he didn't allow us to play.
but after the USA war, and after Udday Saddam Hussain Killed, and Saddam Hussain get in Jail, they allow to our Olympic team to play, and thats mean in 2003.

any way good luck, I hope you win this Cup.

29th August, 2006 – Myanmar won the 38th edition of the Merdeka Tournament with a slim 2-1 win over Indonesia in the final which was played at the Stadium Shah Alam.
The win was Myanmar’s fourth following victories in 1964, 1967 and 1971 when the country was known as Burma.

Indonesia, who had come into the game as the overwhelming favourite, was quick to settle down as captain Ponaryo Astaman pulled the strings from the middle of the park.

But with striker Bambang Pamungkas closely marked, the chance for the early lead was not going to be that easy even though strike partner Ilham Jayakesuma did have a shot in which was saved by Myanmar keeper Aung Aung Oo.

The second half saw Indonesia upping the tempo and in the 54th minute, Ilham created the best chance thus far when he rifled in a shot from 20metre out which narrowly missed the upright.

That miss soon turned out to be costly for Indonesia where off a quick counter attack, Khin Maung Tun crossed from the right before Thu Ra picked up the rebound to shot into the top right corner.

Several substitutions later saw Indonesia frantically looking for the equaliser but the double rebounds on a trot from Bambang and Eka Raiydani portend perhaps that it was not going to be their night afterall.

Myanmar then got their second goal of the evening off a wicked header from Soe Myat Min before Indonesia rallied to their only goal of the evening through Zaena Arif two minutes later.

MYANMAR: Aung Aung Oo, Zaw Lynn Tun, Moe Win, Khin Maung Lwin, Min Thu, Kyaw Thu Ra, Aung Myo Thant, Khin Maung Tun, Aung Myint Aye, Si Thu Min, Soe Myat Min.

INDONESIA: Samsidar, Erick Setiawan, Bayu Sutha, Ricardo Salampessy, Erol Iba, Boas Salossa (Zaena Arif, 64th), Eka Raiydani, Ponaryo Astaman, Atep, Bambang Pamungkas, Ilham Jayakesuma (Maman Abdurahman, 74th).

The AC hosts r in terrible shape:mad:

Thailand U23 experiment is nt working for 2 years after it started, it is clear the team is nt up to it & more experienced (& no doubt better) players r needed & they may come when AC but by then it is too late as they seldom gell with the U23 during the 21/2 years out.

Malaysia really need the 3 mths break M-league will give them before AC as well as M-league restarting in December for they have no team yet. Merdeka team cnnt be Malaysia best team  for if it is, prepare to get thrashing.

Indonesia look short as well but w/ Copa Indonesia still on, it is likely they will strengthen as they start their 40-man camp for the next 9 mths w/ better players joining.

Final take: it is nt good for ASEAN w/ AC 9 mths away :D
