Has this happened to anyone before? It's happened to me twice. I cross the ball into the box from the wing and my forward heads it towards goal, the keeper appears to have saved it, but it counts as a goal. And then, when I watch the replay and examine, the ball never crosses the line, the keeper just makes an ordinary diving stop...
I thought this happened to me in winning eleven 9 but when I checked the replay the ball just barely crossed the line.
Are you positive it never crossed? You can change the canera angle on the replay to overhead and take a look. I've saved a couple replays of non-goals where the defense barely clears it off the line...
how fun is that game anyway? I absolutely LOVED ISS 98 on n64 and have heard that the same people who made that game, made Winning Eleven...
Great game, if you don't mind playing with a bunch of fake teams and players that only resemble real teams and players. You can get patches over the internet to fix that though. It's only happened to me twice, but both times the keeper managed to bounce it off the post and then the ball bounces off of him and into the net, so it would have been a goal anyways. Either way, this glitch represents real life, right? I know that all the years I've played keeper, I've made saves that were definitley in the goal but some I got away with, some the linesman was in the correct position, not that I didn't argue with him anyway. I only remember once where I was in the goal holding onto the ball which was out of the goal and the ref called it a goal because of where my feet were.
Sounds like a crappy bug then for sure. WE8 does have its share of bugs, especially goalkeeper bugs, and the one I can't stop harping about is that the keeper won't move if a shot is heading for the post. This really sucks when the ball rebounds to an attacker, and your keeper is nowhere near where he should be had he realistically tried to get to the shot. That bug is fixed in WE9. Hopefully yours is too, although I've never seen it in WE8 (and I must have played around 300 games of WE8).
im pretty sure the italian league teams are licensed.. with correct jerseys and players (in winning eleven 8)
