Hey i just thought about putting a lil question out there...

I was wondering whether you guys thought that if the US perfoms well in World Cup 2006 it will have a huge efect on american soccer?

I mean...WC2002 was a great feat for american soccer but if we can repeat it then we will catch definitely the attention of more and more americans...who will become true believers in this awesome sport.

I personally think that if the US MNT in WC2006 is mainly MLS based it will have a huge effect on the MLS attendance since people will want to go see their Soccer heroes...However i always have this dream of seeing players like Ante and Donovan playing for the big guns in Europe...showing off our american style of playing soccer!

Tell me what y'all think about the consequances of a successful WC2006 in US soccer....

    Fuzzz

i think if nothing else it will raise interest a little more. People might tune into MLS to see what it is all about. Ultimately though, it will be up to the MLS to keep their interest.

I don't think it's have much more impact than the 1994 Cup did. The sport needs more people like Beckham. Not necessarily good players, although that helps, but good characters. Remember the 1985 Bears. Now there was a bunch of characters. Or the 1972 Dolphins. Or the Raiders fans of the Madden era. Or the Steel Curtain. It's why "wrestling" is so popular. People can love or hate the characters.
