Dan Patrick had him on for several minutes - they had a pic of him on the screen and everything. The guy claimed to have received death threats and said he was "basically hiding out". Then, when Patrick asked him if he could stay in Chicago, the guy said "Do you like Howard Stern's buttcheeks?" Hilarious. To his credit, Patrick just looked up at the screen, big smile on his face, and quipped, "We've been had."
I thought he said 'butt cheese'. Either way, the look on Dan's face and the momentary freeze was priceless.
That was funny. And knowing that this is ESPN, their programming directors can be duped or fooled for anything.
Well, you had to see this coming... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2003/news/story?id=1639664 Some studio has bought the rights to a fan interference movie, maybe starring Kevin James ("The King of Queens")
Re: Re: Who just saw the "Steve Bartman" interview on SportsCenter? When Bob Hope died, CNN interviewed a guy who wrote jokes for the legend for over 40 years. Now, it was a telephone interview, but the guy didn't sound over 30 years old himself. Go figure, the cute Daran Kaygen fell for it as the guy went on to say something to the effect...Howard Stern's butt something... Classic stuff. How these guys know who to call and to actually work the people to be let on the air...LIVE! I wish I had seen the sportscenter one.
Re: Re: Re: Who just saw the "Steve Bartman" interview on SportsCenter? There's a chapter in Howard Stern's book Miss America all about the fans of his who make these calls (some people think they work for Stern - they don't, they're just insane fans). He goes through the entire story of how the guy who made the infamous "I See OJ" call to CNN (during the OJ Simpson white Bronco chase) managed to get on the air.
