&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Granted, one of these choices no longer plays in San Jose (and hasn't for a while), but he still seems to be remembered fondly by fans of his during his stay here.

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

I'll take this a step further...

I think Joe is the most beloved netminder in the Valley of Heart's Delight since the rarified days of Mike Hewitt.

Now there's a poll looking for a place to happen...

    Local boy Joe, hands down.

Archie is an outsider (from Latvia, and a former member of the Soviet National Team), but a very good keeper.

Joe has an MLS Cup. Arturs almost got the Stanley Cup, and probably that was his only chance to get it. As much as I loathe the Red Wings, Hasek is simply better than him.

Next for Joe, a National Team Cap.

High time Toronto comes to San Jose. They haven't visited here since 1997 or so.

Eddie the Beagle is just as hated as Diego Serna.

Tom Liner---he had the Keith Moon Mod hair and he had that spectacular crash into the post where he spun around in mid-air---yeah yeah saves are cool too but that was fantastic--he never was the same after it but one of the best crashes I've ever seen not involving a car or truck...

Who in the blue hell is Arturs Irbe, and why are we talking about him in a Quakes forum?

Would you please change the subject header to reflect the off-topic nature of this thread? Perhaps an [AI] would suffice. I just hate to waste my time reading comments from Irbe groupies ... those people aren't REAL fans!

No Maple Leafs until 2008 or whenever... it's because they want to play at least a home and home against their Western Canadian counterparts, and at least a three game series against their main geographical rivals in the opposite conference--Detroit, Chicago, and St. Louis...

Because of that, they don't travel west anymore, or least for the time being...

Who could forget Brady Boy Liner and Rocking Dave Salzwedel? They were great for their time, but now, no comparison to the Joe...

Those two would have had to play harder in their day--however, Joe is very much the complete deal...

    Cheers!
