Mohamed Nour is killing us with his bad game, really he needs to get into the game if we want to score.

Abdelrahman Al-Qahtani adds some much needed pace ... but no coordination between him and Shamraninho.

    Poor cross from Noor.

    Hazzazi comes on for Shamrani.

The second half has gone by so quick. Only 22 minutes left.

Alright.. let me get this straight... if you guys draw - you'll need to beat N.Korea to qualify... win and you'll only need a draw (provided that Iran don't win in Seoul). Am I correct?

Yeah. But I don't think this will end in a draw.

If we get 4 points in both games no matter what Iran does we qualify.

What a shame that Yasser had to go off just when he looked like he was regaining form.

I hope we hold out for the draw.

    6 more minutes.

    89th minute

    4 minutes of injury time

We're playing on the counter now. Yellow card to some Korean player.

I hope we can hold on for 4 minutes.

Noor was a disappointment today. I guess his age has finally caught up with him.

My boy Hazazi showing his worth, Shamrani should not start next game.

Yeah, but now you need to beat N.Korea... a draw, coupled with two wins for Iran (v UAE & South Korea) - leaves Saudi in 4th. A win for Saudi in the final game qualifies them for the finals though.

    Not a bad result.

We got much better in the second half, got some strong chances, including a header by Hazzazi in injury time. I think we got more chances in the 2nd half than I expected, considering how poor we were in the 1st half. 0-0 against a strong team like S. Korea away is good, and we still have our destiny in our own hands.

I think Pesseiro got his starting line-up wrong, and I think that may have led to the red card, but his subs were good, especially Abdulrahman Al-Qahtani.

I think there's no excuse to start with Shamrani anymore.

How many injuries do we have by the way? Abdoh Otaif, Zori, Shuhail? I lost count. lol

A draw, not bad, but not really good. But its good enough to take us to the WC. Our midfield today just sucked. Probably because SK had a really good midfield? But our defense and goalie were pretty good, but SK offense was really weak, maybe thats why they couldn't score even though they pretty much dominated. Our offense is dangerous, even though we didn't have much chances or domination, but we saw two chances for Naser, and one for Hazazi and Yaser that could have been goals. Oh well, now we play NK, tough team, but in Riyadh I don't really think they have a chance against our offense, espicially everybody knows we just need a win to qualify, then its gonna be a crazy atmosphere in Riyadh.

I only think Abdoh Otaif is injured, doesn't really matter since we have many good subs to fill his place.

What a selfish player Shamrani is ... he had Yasser right next to him staring at an open goal and instead shot it straight at the 'keeper.

I hope Abdulrahman Al-Qahtani plays from the start next game.

Do you think the North Koreans will go for the win in Riyadh to get direct qualification? Or will they settle for a draw since that guarantees them a play-off spot now?

They dont have it in them to go for the win IMO...they only won away to UAE...seriously though, if our midfield doesnt own up, I can see them running circles on us like S.Korea did. We have to put them to the task, get some fouls, maybe a penalty
