I saw Rashidov with Lokomitiv jersey. This guy should go to Europe.

This guy prefers money over everything and has a very arrogant nature, I'm sure after 2 trainings in some European team he will be kicked out for his attitude.

Such a waste of talent. He can play in Russia in a team like Rostov or even better. He can also shine in Eredivisie, Belgian or Greek leagues. He is not a top 5 European league material but with hard work he might get there.

Agree with you, let's see he still claims that has offers from Europe, but everybody takes it as a BS. Before going to Qatar he had an official offer from FC Nantes, but decided to choose money as most Uzbeks do. Then his club El Jaish didn't want to let him go to AC Chievo as they didn't want to pay the money which Arabs demanded. Because of our greedy mentality Uzbek players never shine in European clubs as one can make easy money playing in Qatar, China or UAE. From younger generation Hamdamov and Shomurodov still playing in Russia and there are some decent players in local league which have other more important priorities than money.

The Russian league would seem the most logical choice for Uzbek players. Huge Uzbek community, little language difficulties, etc. I guess the Gulf appeals as it's tax-free, housing provided most of the time, etc.. but a much lower standard of course.. too bad...

Exactly Russian league is the best choice for Uzbek players to make a first step in Europe. I think Russian league is a really tough competition nowadays as most of the teams have money to bring the big names from European top 5 leagues. So mostly average teams agree to invite Uzbek players and even there Uzbek players face a big challenge to get their spot in starting XI. Talking about the Gulf leagues, one can play football just walking and still succeed in scoring goals.

We had this easy money mentality in our youth in past 20 years. So many Iranian talents wasted their time in UAE or Qatar. People like Ali Karimi (4 years in Al Ahli), Farhad Majidi (10 years in UAE), Javad Nekounam (2 years in UAE) and the list goes on and on. Now this mentality has changed in most part due to our NT coach not inviting most of player who go to China or Qatar league.

You should send as many player as possible to Russia or Ukraine first and target Greece and Turkey as well. I think Persepolis will love to have Rashidov. Btw, even old veteran Uzbek player Djeparov is enjoying his time in PGPL nowadays. You have some talented players which are better in leagues such as PGPL, K-League or J-League instead of CSL/QSL or UAE. Korean/Japanese/Iranian leagues are more technical and better for players like Djeparov and Rashidov.

Yep, I was surprised too see Djeparov still getting playing time in Esteghlal. Last year he looked like a done player and not useful anymore. But under the coach Schafer he again started to play well, here we can see how big can be the role of a coach in the formation of a player.

I hardly recognize that guy without the long red hair lol..

That's cool, Lokomotiv are my Russian team actually... well I've sort of adopted them as they were the one team I was able to see when I went to Russia for the first time. Had to leave at halftime in order to catch me flight back ha ha...

If only Uzbekistan had more guys with that career attitude, I reckon they could become one of the dominant Asian forces...

We need more qualified foreign specialists which can change the mentality of players and guide them into the right direction.

Nope, we still don't have a head coach. Most probably UZB will represent U23 team and Iran also will play with B team i guess.

It was UZB U23 team and had no idea that players like Taremi, Ghoochannejad, Ansarifard, Ezzatollahi, Mohammadi, Hosseini, Montazeri, Amiri, Hajsafi, Torabi, Gafouri and etc are Iran C/B team members

The bolded players were used as sub. Non-bolded players were subbed after first half. The match was used to determine the players that should be dropped from the final WC squad. It is expected CQ announces the final squad tomorrow and based on what I read in the news (http://www.varzesh3.com/news/1525074/لحظات-بی-خوابی-و-اضطراب-در-پک-عکس), most players have stress at the moment. Anyway everybody including players are sure that CQ will make the best decision regard the final squad.

He won the russian league last year, but now playing for Krilya Sovetov.
The question was asked to Cuper too. His answer was not so clear to me. He said that the key factor in deciding to take a player in the squad was the current state of the player. Then he continued saying something as follows: "Denisov has two competitors, Sayfiev and Zoteev. Some fans claim that we should take Zoteev, while others say that Sayfiev is stronger than him (Zoteev). But at the end only manager decides whom to take." So this part was not so clear what he really wanted to tell to the audience.

I could say this season will be Shomurodov’s best season. Last game vs Spartak, he could get 3 assist in just 30 minutes.

Hope he can switch to better league next season

He is currently the top scorer in Russia with 7 goals in 8 games.
