Mappy has been invited by Mr. Thomas Rongen and other U-20's in Spain in late August- the 24th-29th, I believe. There are five total MLS players going: Mapp, Capano, Stone, Johnson and oh I forget. One of those other kids. You know. Convey was excused for club commitments. I'm sure that there's a thread already in the Junior teams forum but so far I've been too lazy to click over to there. Someday... Anyways, ussocceruk.com has it here: http://www.ussocceruk.com/modules.p...le=article&sid=47&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0
As usual, Skip is right. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=7244 I think this is a great opportunity for Mapp to develop ahead of next season. Too bad Rongen doesn't teach wing defense. -Tron
Mapp at San Jose Justin FINALLY got some minutes on the pitch in OT vs. the eQuakes (look elsewhere for the result), and acquitted himself fairly well. Nice dribbling, solid responsible passing. He used his speed and size effectively, played defense and even did a little ball-winning, which was clearly a Hudson-taught skill. I was very happy to see him get the opportunity, particularly given our bottom-of-the-table position and extremely slim playoff hopes. Nice debut Mapp, and on National TV no less. Thanks Ray! -Tron
Mapp Scores for U-20's ... Again The U-20's are training right now and according to GersMan's post, Justin Mapp played the entire first half but not the second, then re-entered in the 80th minute. At sometime he scored as the U-20's beat a local team 5-0. Here's GersMan's post from the Junior Nationals Forum: -Tron
