just thank you http://premierleague.abu-jassim.com/week34/Arsenal_3-1_West.wmv special thanks to pompey lad and rima.
Even though you played for the team I most hate (Arsenal) I always admired you. you never ceased to amaze. A true legend.
Always has been and always will be one of my very favourite players of all time. One of these rare players that really make football an art.I'll truly miss watching your magic.Lets make it a fantastic testimonial!
one cannot speak in glowing enough terms about lord dennis for me - brilliant, and just a bit nasty, he is like the gordie howe of european football (hockey reference)
wish i had that video of all his ajax, inter and national team goals, to round out my collection of all his arsenal goals up until the end of the invincibles season. damn now i am jealous i love the howe reference. i remember watching bergkamp at euro92 but was bergkamp always that nasty or did he pick that up in italy as a self defense mechanism.
I think Bergkamp sealed his own fate with Inter during one of his first matches there - I think he scored three goals in one Serie A match. Probably raised his profile too much, and the ankle-hacking, foot spiking defenders promptly took note and never forgot. His performance in that game made it even onto the French football round-up shows. A big thing at that time, if you ask me.
I don't know about that. I do know that his link-up play with Wim Jonk was renowned at the time. Which is why Inter bought them both.
anything like patrick vieira and bergkamp http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2394166448404170605&q=arsenal ~2:30 mark warning: the "music" might suck depending on your taste

Stekelenburg, Emanuelson, Vermaelen, Grygera, Trabelsi, Sneijder, Maduro, Pienaar, Rosenberg, Huntelaar, Rosales. Five Dutchmen, not to bad when taking other Eredivisie teams into account.
just pulling ajax fans' chain it has actually improved, I remember a match a couple of years back where there was I think just one Dutch guy starting a match - granted in part due to injuries but surprising nonetheless
